"Spring Garden is a lovely, magical place where the whole child is educated and childhood is truly protected. It is a loving, warm community of teachers and administrators who work tirelessly to meet each child where they are and help them grow and learn. I have never encountered teachers more invested in the well-being of their students as evidenced by thorough and insightful reports, detailed parent/teacher conferences, and an eagerness to understand the children in every way possible. Everything about the Waldorf pedagogy is intentional and thoughtful from the songs the nursery children sing to the way children are taught to read. Children are taught to think creatively and to act compassionately. The administration offers many educational opportunities to parents through book studies, speakers and discussion groups in a way that fosters community amongst the parents. We have found a home at Spring Garden and can't imagine a better fit for our family."
"Since my son started at Spring Garden he has really flourished. His teacher is personally invested in his continued physical, emotional, mental and academic growth. He loves going to school! And because of the experience he's getting now, he'll be a more well-rounded, thoughtful, intelligent and kind person for the rest of his life. Sending him to Spring Garden is the best choice I've ever made!"
"My family and I absolutely love the approach of SGWS! The school nurtures and develops the WHOLE child...cognitively, creatively, and socially. My daughter loves going to school. Her teacher is dedicated and focused on the success of each child in the class. We couldn't be happier to have found Spring Garden Waldorf School."
"We are so grateful to have been Spring Garden parents for the past 4 years. We embrace Waldorf's whole child approach and our two children have thrived - they love school and love learning. We feel lucky to be part of a community of families working together to give our kids great experiences. Our oldest has been in Mr. Gannon's class for the past 4 years. There is no one we would rather have teaching our child. He understands her and customizes his approach to her, as he does with each and every child in the class. We feel she is developing into her true self with confidence and will have a love of learning that will last a lifetime."
"My child goes to this school and I love the rich and loving learning environment they have created. Their philosophy is to teach the "head, heart, and hands." As a result, not only is my child learning the regular school stuff, but she is also learning how to be a better person. I also love the way our values are supported by the school and other families-- healthy nutrition, care for the environment, mindfulness, protecting childhood, simplicity parenting, and the list goes on. It's such a good, wholesome environment filled with good people and amazing teachers who give 200% every day. We are so fortunate to have a Waldorf school in our community."
