Frisch's Big Boy

"First time EVER going to to a Frisch’s restaurant. We went there to order food Togo. We ordered 2 cod fish dinners with fries and a burger with fries. Simple enough…..apparently not. The brought the food out and we went to our car ( these days you always have to check your order anywhere you go) so we checked the bags and somehow we had 2 cod fish sandwich’s instead of the dinners we ordered. So we brought the food back in and told them we ordered 2 cod fish dinners and we ended up with 2 cod fish sandwich’s. One of the waitresses said you can only order that dinner on Fridays. The manager was sitting at the counter and told her it can be ordered anytime and asked the cook to make 2 cod fish dinners. A little while later they came out with 2 dinner boxes and told us we were all set. Thinking since it was already messed up once, we didn’t check the boxes. We get back home and unpack our food (most of which is cold now) when we opened the dinner boxes there were 2 pieces of cod in each box….nothing else! The meal comes with 2 pieces of fish, 1 piece of Texas toast, a side of tartar sauce and 1 side of your choice…..there was 2 pieces of fish in each box. The fries were all in one bag so we had the 1 side for the fish dinners but no tarter sauce and no Texas toast! The burger and fries were all cold cause we had to wait for 4 pieces of fish to be cooked and put in a box. Had the burger been hot or even warm, it would have been good. It was made well but cold burgers are never that great. I’m sure we will try it again but we will make sure we check EVERYTHING before we leave."

"Update: it's been over 5 months since I've been here. Stopped in for the salad bar, very disappointed. They had almost nothing on the bar. They use to be the best salad bar ever now I guess we're lucky to cucumbers on it, they didn't even have bacon bits. If your going just for the salad bar it's a complete waste of money just buy a pre-made one at the store smh same price but more options.. and not sure what's going on with the burger"

"This place needs a leader as a manager poorly managed. I came in town to see mom and dad and needed my big boy fix. This was my girls first time thankfully the food was good. Now fir the bad poorly managed we came in there was like 4 maybe 5 tables with people. The couple in front of us finally seated theirselves waitress didn't even acknowledge us for a bit. Grant it there was no hostess the manager never came out to help. There was another group behind us that eventually left we finally got seated. Checked salad bar out while passing there was 4 plates total on it total. I was after a big boy though can't get it where I work now in Georgia. Tables that was dirty when we came in stayed dirty till we left. The food did come out in a timely manner like 10 mins but getting seated is ridiculous. Might stop in again when I come back that's a toss up. Biggest problem I see is the manager being a leader."

"Dec 27, 2023 We were in the area visiting and hadn't been to a Frisch's in ages due to where we currently live. I ordered a super big boy burger, and 2 sides of onion rings. I ordered a southern breaded chicken sandwich for later on so we didn't need to leave the hotel later. The burger was perfectly cooked and delicious. Both orders of the onion rings were over cooked. You could mainly taste the batter and not much of the onion. The inside was still tender though. The breaded chicken was also cooked too long as the batter also had dark marks on it. The chicken inside was tender though. My wife ordered the hot fudge cake and it was definitely very good. The fudge was very flavorful. Our server was extremely polite, helpful and checked up on us frequently. The restaurant was clean. The men's restroom definitely needed checked up on and cleaned though."

"This place was gross. I found hair on my bacon. Not sure what was up with the gravy. Fruit was slimy. Salad was wilted and slimy. Dishes dirty. Management wouldn't even come and talk with me. What a joke. Enjoy the pictures."
