"I am delayed in this review but it’s needed. First time trying to eat here there was a wait. No organization at the host stand, nobody even greeted us and once we walked up they couldn’t even tell us how long of a wait there was so we left. The second time we went we stood for a couple minutes without being greeted. Once we were sat the server did a great job. However, I ordered the cherry bourbon chicken, and one of my chicken breasts was raw. They told us they couldn’t refund us even though I wasn’t able to eat my meal. They did offer to give us free dessert but not a refund or discount. I do hope to see this place improve and thrive because we love local businesses and this town needs it, it just needs better organization and consistency. Edit to add- the waitress specifically said “I’ll go show my manager” she walked over to said person and we seen her show it to the manager. The meal was not removed from our bill nor was it replaced, she actually stated that the manager told her the price of the meal couldn’t be removed. We were given a dessert and our price for tea was removed.. but not the price for the meal. Also, I have previously worked at restaurants for years before. I’ve never been in one nor worked in one that gave a time frame for a wait and went exceedingly over."

"This is our style. Vegetarians, you will have to get a salad. The rest of you can enjoy a well-rounded menu. Honestly, anything with the bacon jam is a can't miss. The bacon jam burger was sensational, even though I had to forgo the jalapeños. The liver and onions, yeah, I know, seriously though, so tender. The bacon flows like sweet tea in this eclectic atmosphere. A gift shop will occupy your time while you wait. If you enjoy comfort food and bacon. Seriously, vegetarians or vegans, I am telling you, stepping into this restaurant, the love of bacon is in the air and garnished on everything, with love."

"Sept 2023: this was our first time here. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Our server was excellent and she gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. The sweet tea was DELICIOUS! We both ordered the Cherry Bourbon BBQ Chicken and let me tell you, that cherry bourbon BBQ sauce was amazing. The mashed potatoes were great too - nice & moist to where you don't need a side of butter, sour cream, or gravy to eat them. The batter for the fried pickles & onion rings was nice & light, but covered everything. Definitely recommend everything we tried!"

"We first get to the restaurant you have to go into a gift shop to get into the restaurant we waited 30 minutes waiting for The hostess to come to the stand and seat us then we get to the table and wait probably another 15 minutes before the waitress comes. Now our waitress was busy and she had been there all day but she was outstanding our issue with the service was that the hostess wasn't seating people and she was never at the hostess stand it did take us a little while to get our silverware and when the food came out they forgot both our gravies. Only issue with food was that the steamed broccoli was undercooked and there was bits of broccoli in there that was bad. But overall it has a simple cozy feel. I also like the fact that they also have diner and a theater to the left of the restaurant and to the right is a sort of fudge shop"
