Mikey's Family Restaurant 803 Northeast Main Street, West Union, OH 45693

"Went by a while ago to get some dinner, parking lot was empty, two workers were inside watching the TV. Lights on, door was locked despite it being a hour and a half before close. Knocked on the door, was ignored. First few times I had the food was good, still is. However the service and Atmosphere is lacking, workers feel standoffish to people and or not talkative. The only people that really do there jobs is the cooks, and they make some damn good food, everyone else just hangs out not doing much from what I've seen."

"Very dirty place can’t believe they haven’t shut it down. They use bleach while your sitting there eating on the tables awful trying to eat while your nose is burning. They Should see what it would do for there floors and counters?? people sleeping in chairs just cluttered and if it looks like this were you can see!! yikes BAD"

"I went here today to purchase dinner I ordered a foot long with sauce cheese onion and mustard add coleslaw it was cold all of it the bun was soggy also ordered biscuits and gravy small order it tasted like grease no flavor except grease the only thing that was hot was the mushrooms won't be returning here ever"

"Mikey's was a nice place to stop for a very inexpensive meal. Nothing fancy to pull into for a bite but the hospitality and good food is worth a thousand words. We enjoyed trying different sides with our appetizers and the food spoke to my soul as it's flavor reminded me of my grandmother's cooking and dishes I learned to cook from scratch as a kid, the gravy tasted just like my own and the corn bread was slightly sweet but not too much. The cabbage was on point! I also got an additional bowl of brown beans or pinto beans and corn bread to go back to Michigan with me! The homemade fries were so good we had additional orders. We got 3 drinks, 4 meals, 2 appetizers and 3 bowls of soup, 1 cup of beans, 2 additional sides for just $50.00. The cooks came to speak with us when they learned I was asking for pinto beans,corn bread, and fried cabbage as an appetizer. Later one of the cooks brought me a nice bowl of fresh veggie soup to try. I absolutely love Mikey's and hope to return someday. I was referred by my airbnb host who referred to Mikey's as the "Best Greasy Spoon" joint around and I must agree. Food was great and the hospitality made us feel like family from out of town."
