"This is the second time I’ve come here, and it continues to be exceptional. There was a brief hiccup at the start, as they were out of the first few drinks I tried to order (they’re in a transitional period on their taps and sangrias), but Sydney was just so incredibly sweet about it, and the 50 west beer I settled on was amazing, I can’t be upset. Food came out LIGHTNING fast, but absolutely incredible. I was dreaming of the burria tacos all week, and they did not disappoint! My husband said the sweetest words a man can utter “would you like to split some nachos?” So glad we did. The chips are crispy, thick and flakey, and it was loaded with toppings. 10 out of 10."

"The birria tacos! So much I can say. They were spicy, tender, juicy, delicious! The steak and peppers were also spiced wonderfully and tender. Great date night place with a patio and umbrellas!"

"Food was excellent! The mango habanero salsa was fantastic! Service was also wonderful. Waitress was very friendly and food came quickly. We were hoping to sit on the patio but we were told they were short staffed and no longer seating anymore outside. Not a big deal- hopefully next time! The only reason for the 4 stars is because they’re between menus. We didn’t know this till we were actually ordering. Some items were not available. Despite that, we are looking forward to going back again!"

"Mesa had a very unique feel to it. It is located in a pretty happening area of Hyde Park, and I decided to try something new. The recommendations from the staff were great, and they were very respectful and pleasant. The restaurant itself feels a little uninspired, but the food and drinks speak for themselves. The jalapeno infused karrikin tequila (Cincy made) made for one of the best spicy margaritas I have found in the city. The flautas were recommended to me, and they were fire. I loved every bite. The birria tacos definitely had the right taste and by no means were bad, but I did not find them to be special like the flautas. Overall a great experience with the staff and dining."

"We’ve been to Mesa Loca twice now, and each time was fantastic. The birria tacos are insanely good, but so is everything else we have had. The drinks are spot on. Service is great and is quick. We went to a tequila tasting lunch, and it was such a great time we will go to the next one they have."
