"Had a lunch date here today. Kaylee (sp?) was our server and she was very nice and attentive. The food was good, no complaints at all."

"Food was really good and service was great. I got steak and fries. The salads are a really good size. I got the Steak and Fries which is exactly as you imagine and see in the picture. Cocktails are also really strong and well made. You get what you pay for, so you can't go wrong with any choice here!"

"I'd say the food was better than average but would not pay the price again due to the surrounding atmosphere. There isn't a dress code being enforced- was a real bummer to see when it's clearly listed on the menu. sandals, spandex and bathing suit trunks, ripped big hair band jeans (don't worry I like those jeans, just not here). It was also Loud while we were there. Made sure my 3 kids were being well behaved and felt like part of the minority. The hostess and server were nothing but wonderful. Service was a premium in itself. As a whole, it's above average restaurant with some great ideas, just not aimed at certain demographics and possibly needing stronger decisions based on not adhering to their attire policy."

"The ambiance is beautiful here at J. Alexander’s. It smells a little smoky from the cooking, which was a nice touch I thought. The menu had good options, and I was struggling to pick between a few of them. I got the Filet Mignon, and asked for it medium but with no red. Unfortunately it did come out with a VERY red center but the staff quickly re-fired that for me and it was perfect. The potato that came with it was was huge, and good. I’d suggest a little more butter to add a bit more moisture but overall it was good! My husband was very happy with his chicken and smashed potatoes. We got the chocolate cake as well, and the cake itself was very thick, but it wasn’t really sweet. I wasn’t a fan of it by itself, but with the ice cream it was better. “It feels like I sucked on a spoon of peanut butter.” -my husband. Good moisture, just needed a bit.. more. We would come back here, and we would try more options :)"
