"Regrettably, this barbecue joint in our town falls woefully short of expectations. Having sampled authentic barbecue elsewhere, this place is a culinary letdown. The meat lacks the smoky, succulent essence that defines quality barbecue. The sides are uninspired, resembling cafeteria fare more than genuine Southern comfort. Anyone accustomed to real barbecue would find this establishment a disheartening parody. Save your taste buds and seek out a more authentic smokehouse experience elsewhere; this one-star disappointment fails to capture the essence of true barbecue bliss."

"First, my food was dry and ice cold ... ever tried to eat cold brisket? Yuck!!! Ask for extra bbq sauce for the dryness. I got the meat sample meal. It was $18 ... do not go by the prices online! They claim that they are not responsible for the incorrect pricing online. I highly recommend you go somewhere else for bbq! Very disappointed!"

"Passing thru and stopped in for lunch. I had pulled pork sandwich; loaded with fresh juicy tender meat nice rub on the bark; my husband had a brisket sandwich just as delicious! Mac n cheese was cheesie and moist but those bbq baked beans OMG so dang good. Nice tangy bbq sauce little hint of heat. We’ll be back! Stop on in as you head to Hocking State Park or the outlet - they have carry out. Nice folks. Highly recommend."

"Texas barbecue meat. My pulled chicken sandwich was very dry. The wings were decent and hubby mentioned that the ribs were good. For Texas barbecue, I had expected the sides to be Texan as well. The slaw and potato salad tasted and looked like they came out of a container. The baked beans, though happy there was no brisket in them, was more tart and not the full body Texan beans I was hoping for. The atmosphere, well, we were the only patrons and a lot of equipment in the dining area and restrooms. Apologies I didn't have a more positive review to provide!"

"Seriously great genuine Texas brisket in an out of the way spot I'd of never guessed. Amazing flavor and great people, we'll be back for sure! No pics of the brisket, it vaporized, the chocolate lava cake and pineapple upside down cake were the bomb!"
