Reviews of St. Aloysius Gonzaga School
"I'm sad to say if I could give my true review it would be a zero, a one is being very generous in my opinion. The teachers I'm not sure are even qualified to be in the room with the children and they teach the children to have racist point of views. There are only three license in the school and the therapists are great and they do work with you and there are staff there that go above and beyond but my son who spends majority of his time with with an unlicensed staff member. I've come to terms with that there may be a severe personality conflict between my son and this staff memberand I have done everything in my power to try and compromise and work thru this obstacle but they will not acknowledge the problem. I'm unrolling my son as soon as possible. he has Shown progress that has a long ways to go. And furthermore the school focuses o behavioral therapy but lack severely in academic training. At 9 years old my son can barely read he does not know his sight words and if he was to his elementary School he will be placed in a second grade learning level. I'm very upset and very disappointed in the school and how they have not helped my son they have failed. They do not offer him to have freedom of speech, he is not safe, and he is not protected from discrimination and retaliation. he has outgrown the school and he needs to be in a different environment but they are not willing to see that with me and work with me. they barely let me in the building and there is no documentation proving this point system they have in place my son comes home sad and non-responsive most days and he won't speak of his school days and that in my opinion is not okay"
"Schools should not be biased towards parents especially amidst a divorce, and they did. Highly unprofessional and unnecessary. The father is abusive and the mother wanted to move to Michigan to put the kids in a better setting and environment but the school wanted there money, and they got it. Now the kids are stuck in Cincinnati at this school."
"i go to st als and it is by far the best school ive went to, probably cause its the only school ive went to so far. ive made lots of friends here and the teachers are awesome."
"My daughter attended public school before coming to St Al's. We have been becoming a part of this community slowly (they pull you in lol) everyone is amazing. My kid comes home ever day smiling and happy. She never did this at the public schools. The teachers and admin have every single child's best interest in front of everything else. They will rally behind you and support your child. If you want a loving community where every child counts look into St Al's. Truly, this school is going to bring up some amazing adults. Besides all the above, I was not raised as a Catholic, though I have strong faith. Part of what helped me decide on St Al's is that I wanted my child to learn about God and community. I wanted morals and doing to right thing as well as standing up for yourself to be an important part of her academics... I was so unsure before because I didn't know anything about private schools or Catholic schools. This small school totally won me and my child over. I can say whole heatedly that this was the best decision I made for my child. I know she will go on to do great things and I thank this community for it!!!"
"The one star is nice enough, I'm going to another for all the teachers that don't play tricks on students. Those teachers that don't play tricks are, the reading/ language arts, the social studies/ religion teacher, the art teacher, the music teacher, the library teacher, the rest would be any other teacher below grade five. Ill give another star for the amount of good friends I've made at this school so far. Some teachers give checks for assignments that already have a mark on the sheet and that for any usual weekly homework, goes against many rules. the staff seem nice, and they are. But the school, it's conditions, ans many other things need improvement. For me this school as of now is a solid 3/5 stars."
