"This is a truly authentic Montessori environment. This family of Montessori educators is where I started my journey with Montessori and I am so thankful I did. I wouldn’t trade the knowledge I gained with them for the world. Your children will be in wonderful hands here! Worth every penny. ❤️"
"“Dayton Montessori was ABSOLUTELY ONE of the best decisions my husband and I ever made and the best gift we could have given to our boys! The DMS program operates true to Maria Montessori’s principles and is delivered by one of the most dedicated teachers and administration staff. The Dayton Montessori Society provided our children with a strong foundation in math, verbal and public speaking skills. It also promotes tremendous independence and responsibility in students. The DMS education develops students who are capable, accountable, knowledgeable people who have the strong sense of self they will need to thrive in the real world. Best of all, my children’s love of learning and curiosity is still as bright and evident as it was when they entered the school as 3-year-olds and left at 6th grade. My boys graduated DMS mastering research, collaboration, public speaking and time management. In addition to the curriculum, DMS taught our children life lessons and the importance of respect for others and peaceful behavior and a better understanding of the world we live in. Students of DMS are engaged, self motivated learners who partake in in-depth studies and learn complex concepts to the point of mastery and not just for a passing grade on a test. The depth and breadth of knowledge that these students acquire and retain with these hands on individualized method of teaching is truly remarkable. We are so grateful to this school, the exceptional staff and community for providing our children with the skills and confidence to be independent lifelong learners and move on and flourish! DMS is worth the investment!” Angela Harris-Public School Teacher"
"We LOVED DMS!!! Our little started at 2&1/2 (which was great for his development and social skills at that point in his life ). Where as traditional preschool would have made him wait an entire additional year before he could start. He learned SO MUCH in his four years at DMS. The teachers are so patient and loved our son like their own!! He learned so much more than just ABC’s! He learned about the world and his space in it, how to be a kind friend, how to read and write, and math. And the best part was it was all at his pace when he was motivated to do it!! We loved the Montessori philosophy to “follow the child” while incorporating independent work and self-discovery! We would definitely recommend DMS to others!!"
"My child just completed his third year at DMS. I cannot say enough good things about the school and the staff! My son has grown tremendously in his academic and self care skills. The staff are wonderful, caring and engaging, piquing the interest of the students and helping them achieve success with grade level skills. My son’s experience at DMS has fostered a love for learning and a positive outlook on school!! I would highly recommend DMS!!"
"Ok, so we will go ahead and be the first to put out there the reality of montessori. So, its over $6,500 a year for this school. I will give them credit for learning cultural stuff...but then, they have you pay extra to do physical education classes which are traveling to either tennis places, or kung fu places, they also have the parents doing the transporting and laundry, they don't provide meals and want to tell you what you can and can not pack for your childs lunch, (can't even have flavored water because it's not fair to someone else with plain water) leaks in the roof, but can afford a new big screen tv, and also ask for donations on supplies regularly and have numerous fundraisers on the school, so where is the money going from how much it is for these kids to go here? Also, don't miss payment because they will send you blackmail notices about holding your childs records so they xant transfer and get into school next year."
