"The waitress was working alone and so it was understandable that she took a while to take our order. The burger and fries were bland and needed a lot of salt and pepper. The wings didn't taste good."

"We went into Applebee's to celebrate a special family event. The hostess said we needed to wait 20 mins to sit. The restaurant was practically empty. So, we sat waiting. The other hostess told the first hostess to stop being mean and if she didn't stop she'd report her to the gm. Seconds later we were informed by the 2nd hostess we'd be sat soon. Our table needed to be cleaned. When we were sat our table was dirty with food and stickiness. As we sat patiently for service I observed other people coming in and being sat. At first I didn't see an issue until another couple came in. This couple was made to sit with plenty of seats open. What did we have in common? I didn't want to go there but then it hit me.... it was because the hostess saw our skin color and not the responsibility she has at her job. I emailed corporate about it and spoke with someone who apologized for the treatment and sent us gift certificates to solve it. I don't care for the certificates because, one they wouldn't cover our $70 bill and 2 they don't take away the racism in that women's heart. Idc if the certificates never show but I would like the hate to stop. We were treated like trash but we hoped that by tipping well maybe they'd see people don't see skin color. Yet, it just empowered them to treat that way. I have no hate for people and genuinely care for all but this situation is just wrong and gift certificates won't fix it."

"I stopped in with the kids for lunch and there were a few other customers inside, so there wasn't a wait. The food was hot, fresh and tasty and our server was courteous. The biggest disappointment that I had was the portion sizes for the kids meal. I know that there's never going to be enough, so we always order an extra order of french fries, but there were about 10 french fries on each of the kids plates and it was quite disappointing. The appetizers were fresh and delicious as usual, and the soup was on the money. The kids did wait a number of minutes longer than they should have waiting for refills on their drinks, and even when the waitress kept coming out into the restaurant, they had to raise their arms and ask her to come over the table so they could order them. All in all we weren't disappointed, the food was right where it normally is and the pricing hasn't changed any in the last year or so, so no surprises there. They still have partitions between the tables and booths, and that is good for the people who are still a little bit concerned about being exposed to others. They do not require you to wear a mask to walk into the restaurant anymore, and the servers as well as the host wasn't wearing a mask either. It definitely was not an issue or concern to us, I only mention it for others who might be visiting. We were in and out in less than an hour for the five of us and to me that's right where we should have been. The waitress did offer the kids their refills in it to go cup, which was nice because we have a 45 minute drive home."
