"There were, at my last count, 7 pharmacies to choose from in Bowling Green. If you include metro Perrysburg and Maumee it is well into double digits. Choose a different one. The employees here are trying, they are. You can see they are frustrated. I didn't see the same person twice in two months, so turnover might be a problem. The issues I am detailing occurred in a two month period before I transferred everything to a new pharmacy, at which I have had no similar issues. These are my experiences and opinions as a customer. I do not represent the business or any competitor. I am sharing my experience and opinions about these experiences. I am an ex-customer detailing facts and stating the opinions I personally formed. Problems; Hours-if you have a job you probably can't find a time when they are open to fill a script. It appears to me they can't keep their pharmacy staffed. Stock-if your Rx is at all popular or rare (either end of the spectrum), they are often out of stock and can't or won't tell you if or when it will be. Lies, or misinformation-when my Physician asked me to check with the pharmacy to see if they have stock so they can write the script in a manner in which it can be filled (i.e. 2x 10mg vs. 1x 20mg) I was told "it is illegal" to tell me what's in stock. "Have your doc send it over and then we can tell you". Surprise, out of stock. Ask what is, now it isn't "illegal" but just "a policy" not to tell whether a different dose is in stock. Team/patient advocate approach (lack thereof)- Need them to communicate with a prescriber? In my case they wouldn't/didn't. Seizure, anxiety, pain, behavior meds- Want to fill a controlled substance (You might be surprised what medications are scheduled) on the correct day but it was called in "too soon" several days prior on the day you saw the doctor? Nope. "Have the doc resend it". Now the NP calls it in because the doc doesn't have office hrs that day and the change in prescribing provider is a problem. I'm trying to follow my doctor's developed care plan, the hoops and redundancy were not my idea. I understand the state pharmacy board and DEA requirements (I deal with them in other aspects of my life professionally). I also understand that other pharmacies both follow them and still meet medical/clinical/legal and customer service standards. Bottom line- In my opinion, this isn't a viable pharmacy. The hours and the problems that I believe come with the inability to obtain/retain staff on par with other pharmacies just makes it not worth the trouble to use this place. Don't blame the staff. I really do think they're trying. Usually when a business has problems like this inability to retain employees is the problem. That's my guess, I don't know that to be a fact, if there is another reason for the problems, I can't think of it. I can tell you I would rather drive to Toledo than use this location and I live within walking distance."
"Helpful, friendly staff! I was greeted immediately upon entering the store. I had my children with me and the employees working were all so happy and outgoing. I was assisted with everything I was looking for, we are from out of town and weren’t familiar with the store. Very pleasant experience!"
"Pharmacy hours are less than 7 hours a day Monday through Friday and they are not open on weekends so if you need medication I sure wouldn't go there"
"I came here to send my package tO Fedex. It was my first time visiting here. A friendly clerk in the front greeted me Nicely and asked if I want tO send package tO fedex. I Said Yes. And she directed me tO fedex place in the Corner. I was very happy for the hospitality. Thank you."
"The Pharmacy here is amazing. The pharmacists and techs always go above and beyond to help. They've taken extra time to find savings for expensive prescriptions, and have even called around to other pharmacies in town to find our family a prescription they were out of that we needed ASAP. They always continue to have exceptional service."
