"My daughter was getting bullied by her peers from 1st grade -6th grade. Students invited other classmates to parties but my child was never invited, she was being teased constantly and called nappy hair by other students. When I addressed the issue, the teachers said they were taking care of it. My child did not want to tell me things were getting worse, because kids do not want to be labeled as a snitch. When my child finally began to say things back to the students she was labeled a bully. The principal Mrs. Abel said my child was the problem when in fact my child was the one being bullied for years and nicknamed (nappy hair) by the white students and nothing was ever done. When she finally said something to the white students, she was punished. The principal did not care to hear what I had to say, nor did it make a difference to her. Worse mistake was letting my child stay at this school in hopes of things improving."

"I love this school! The teachers really work with your child as an individual. If I ever had an issue it was handle right away. Definitely the place to send your child. The teachers really encourage your involvement in the school."
