"Sadly, my experience with exide batteries is no longer good. In the past I've used these batteries exclusively in 5 of my vehicles for over 10 years. They were reasonably priced and had a good warranty. If one failed during the warranty period, I could exchange it at my nearest home depot. This convenience was the main reason I used these batteries. More recently I had 2 fail during warranty. Home depot would no longer do the exchange and said I had to call exide. I had the depot manager call the exide rep directly. He was attentive and told me that the local rep would call me shortly and that they had service vehicles that could bring replacements. As I waited for half the day stranded in the parking lot, the call never came. Unable to wait any longer I purchased a new battery at a nearby auto parts store. Only 2 weeks later another battery failed in my work truck. Once again, home depot refused to help. I went to the exide website and called for assistance. I left a message and I also left an email. I received a response 2 weeks later. Again, stranded at the side of the road, I had to purchase a new battery somewhere else. What good is a warranty if you can't use it? I won't be using exide batteries in my vehicles any longer. Its a shame since they were good products and priced well. Most of them outlived the warranty period. But when your stranded, you just can't wait days or weeks to get service."
