"We experienced a really unfortunate situation with Gulf Coast Cart. We had reserved a golf cart for two weeks. It arrived on March 23. Within two minutes of driving the cart for the first time (shortly after delivery) it went from driving at a normal speed to about one mile an hour and had to be pushed back to our hotel. I immediately called, no one answered so I left a message informing them of the situation. Two days later, still no response, I called again, spoke with a person and let them know. They picked up the cart shortly after. Fast forward about a week, they found out the problem was a wiring harness that needed to be replaced. We figured that in a world of “overnight shipping” it shouldn’t be too much of a wait after that. Unfortunately it obviously wasn’t a pressing issue and we never got our rental, not one day out of the two weeks. Normally things like this wouldn’t be a make or break deal. But the golf cart was supposed to be our only means of transportation on our vacation, and no other rentals were available. We were stuck at our hotel for two weeks unless we wanted to walk somewhere. It may sound like a drastic statement but it really did ruin our trip. I fully understand that things happen but as fellow business owners sometimes you have to spend money, more money than you anticipate, to fulfill obligations. I am bummed to have to write this review, as I had high hopes but we really feel like the issue wasn’t addressed in a professional manor and that our rental agreement was written off without much effort."
