Reviews of Urgent Care Pharmacy - MacDill AFB
"The drive-thru in the morning is fairly busy, but I usually get through the line within 15 minutes. As long as you call in your refills a few days ahead via the automated refill system and get to the drive-thru in the morning, you shouldn’t have a problem. The people who work there are friendly, so I’ve had no problem with customer service. In general, I’m satisfied with the Pharmacare drive-thru service at MacDill AFB."
"I am a 365 day Florida resident and we have to go to the MacDill Pharmacare about 4 times a year to refill all of out scripts. When the Snowbirds are here the waits can be very long and usually meds are never ready when they say they will be. From May to about Nov it’s like going to Fast Track at Disney....takes no time at all. So don’t blame the Pharmacy or staff as the problem is the Snowbirds. We love the money you bring with you but can’t wait to see you leave in April !"
"I'd have to say this is worse pharmacy I've seen. The system for this little place is totally broken and someone needs to look into it. 3 weeks ago after leaving the doctor's office we went here, pulled a number and waited about an hour just to talk to someone. It took him 2 second to give me a piece of paper for prescription transfer. I was told to come back in 1 week if there is no problem with the order. I will get a call if they have a problem. One week, I showed up at the drive through, waited about 45 minutes and told to come inside. I went inside standing in the pickup line for 45 mins and the lady there said we don't have anything for you. She told me to pull a number. Waited some more before we can talk to the clerk. He said there was a problem with the order please comeback in a week. "Sorry about that". One week later, last dose of medication left, I went back to the pickup drive through but again was sent inside. I did the same thing, I went to wait in the longest pickup line ever with my 2 kids nearly an hour. Why wasn't I notify if they have issues with the order so I don't drive there and waste my time waiting just to be told to come back? I apologize for the long complaint. Staff, you guys were friendly but with the long wait, I couldn't even smile when I got to you all."
"Worst pharmacare center that I've ever been to! Woman in the drive through is very rude and lack communication skills. Wait times are extremely long and there is no close seating near the long lines for elderly people. I'm not sure if more staff is needed or if its poor time management. This is a issue that needs to be addressed. My first and my last time coming here."
"Very busy pharmacy and very confusing procedures for people new to the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although all of our prescriptions were generated from military facilities in Virginia, we had to specifically have our prescriptions transferred to Pharmacare in order to get refills. Seems like all military facilities should be integrated to communicate, especially with today's technology. Once the prescriptions were transferred, we were able to pick up our prescriptions quickly. I highly recommend you call in prescriptions in advance to minimize the delays mentioned in other reviews."
