"I am new to injections and had no idea where to start. The pharmacist, Stephanie, was amazing! She was so patient when answering my questions (I had a ton) and made sure I was comfortable with my new medication. She even gave me her extension to reach her if I had any concerns that came up later. I am now confident in administering my meds, because she took the time to go over each step with me. I am so grateful!"
"Egregious is the best word I can think of. For two months in a row I have had to spend hours on the phone and in chat sessions just trying to get a specialty medication filled. It takes multiple contacts just to identify the problem and another few contacts to get the problem fixed. And, as often as not, another problem pops up and the whole process starts again. And this is for an EXISTING prescription that simply needed to be refilled. I would gladly take my business elsewhere, but I can't because this atrocious business is run by Anthem and they lock you into this specialty pharmacy. So, if you're stuck like me, set an alert on your calendar to start the refill process a full ten days in advance. If all goes only marginally bad, you might get your refill before you run out. If it goes as it has for me, expect to be without medication for a bit--and don't expect most of the people at BioPlus or Anthem to care. Oh, and after reading the other reviews, I expect that shortly there will be a response from BioPlus apologizing for the experience I've had. That's sweet, but what I really want is a functioning pharmacy."
"I’ve been trying to get my terminally ill husbands refills for nearly 3 weeks. They have told me 3 times that the medication is being shipped only to be cancelled for different reasons. Rather than notifying the patient that it’s been cancelled they just do nothing. Knowing that without his medication his condition could very likely worsen. I’ve spent 4 hours on hold over the past 3 weeks trying to get these refills. People at this pharmacy just don’t care because they probably have millions of patients paying $4,000 a month so they’re rich enough without our $$. Totally ridiculous. I work at a large corporate law firm and can’t get anywhere. Imagine what a poor dying person has to go thru. Thanks so much for your reply even though it was only meant to save face from those reading my review. I emailed you with my info and never received a call. In fact I had to call you again because the $ my insurance paid on February 5 was never returned even though the prescription was never filled. I spent 90 minutes for you to refund the $ so I could fill it at another pharmacy"
"* Edit.. 2 Weeks of calls and hours on the phone The constant lies continue. I can’t even to begin to explain how horrible this business is. Hopefully you can take your business somewhere else. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wish you could leave negative or 0 stars. I have called 7 times over the past week. Each day I get a new excuse of why they can’t refill my medication and then a promise to fill it the next day when I call back. At least get your story straight! I have worked with 3 different specialty pharmacy’s in the past 3 years. Never have I had any trouble at all. Just unacceptable from any business to treat people this way."
"BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy needs to be Federally investigated, as they are endangering the lives of people who rely on specialty medications. Previously, BioPlus Specialty operated like a patient-centered, well-oiled machine up until late 2023. I wouldn't have hesitated to recommend BioPlus to anyone that needed a specialty pharmacy, sadly, that is no longer the case. For the past several months, the patient in my care has had to initiate contact with BioPlus to find out when they could expect their medication to be shipped, because they hadn't been contacted by BioPlus, and the medication was needed that same week. BioPlus used to reach out to them to set up a shipment about a week prior to the date the prescription was needed, but for the past several months, absolutely nothing has been in order. BioPlus has blamed everyone and everything from the doctor's office to billing to their own phones and software. None of these things were ever an issue before. Expect to wait on the phone for at least an hour now, most likely without a resolution. Promises for callbacks go unmet. If it is a software/phone issue, why hasn't it been resolved over three to four months' time? I understand a bit of a grace period for growing pains, but people's lives are literally on the line, and there must be someone at this company that understands the dire gravity of this situation and the unnecessary frustration and harm it is causing patients."
