"Opened an account here because of a promotion they were having. Deposited a local check at the ATM. Noticed that the check hadn't cleared after a few days. Called and spoke to the manager Elvita (sp). She tried explaining that Check Services flagged my check because the issuer had bounced checks. I asked her to please speak slower as she was talking over me and I couldn't understand her with her accent. She blew up and said she had no accent and hung up on me. I called back and asked if she had hung up on me and her reply was can you understand my accent when I say no? Turns out that there is no check services, my check was held because it was a new account. 1- Ridiculous to hold a check for 10 days when I had more than enough in my savings to cover it. 2- why would a manager hang up on a customer? 3- There is no such thing as check services as confirmed by the bank's customer service people. Will be switching back to Chase."
