"Bought my GE Monogram built in frig and washer and dryer from Setzer. Michael originally ordered the frig for us then Kerry took over. She was so helpful and pleasant to work with that we ordered the GE washer and dryer thru her instead of my usual go to box store. The W&D were in stock and delivered with no issues. We knew the frig had a long order time and we may or may not get it in time for our new house move in but Kerry kept me updated thru out the process. She informed us to be sure to inspect the frig thoroughly for dings and scratches on delivery. We did and found the doors had minor scratches and for the price of a built in frig, that was not acceptable. Installer took pics for Kerry and a few hours later I already received a email from GE that service was scheduled. Of course the doors are on back order but so glad Kerry warned us to inspect carefully. Thank you Kerry for the great customer service, and Michael & the Setzer install crew!"
"We just had them bring and install our Subzero refrigerator to our 3rd floor kitchen. George, Dante , and Emanuel ( E) were phenomenal in getting our 22 year refrigerator that had been tiled in by previous owners out and the new one installed! We will never do business with anyone else!"
"Short reason for my rating: Very poor service after the sale. We like supporting small local businesses so it bothers me to have to write a bad review, however I’d rather let others know what they could be facing when going through Setzer’s. To say we are upset would be an understatement, specifically with the $4100 refrigerator we bought through Setzer's. We had just started a remodel, which included all new kitchen appliances purchased through Setzer’s. Our sales rep was very knowledgeable/helpful in the selection process. Due to unpredictable supply chain/delivery we were told they could not give us an eta and to not ask for one; but it could be 6+ months. Our remodel was scheduled to be completed in April 2023 so we went ahead and ordered the appliances (Jan 2023). Some of the appliances came in May, some in June. Prior to installation, all remained boxed/protected at our home. We hit a delay w/the remodel and could not have some of the appliance installed until an unexpected flooring issue was resolved. We spoke with our sales rep at Setzer's and were told it was not a problem and once ready, to call and schedule the install. Fast forward to install day - the installer unboxed the brand new refrigerator and noted multiple problems and damage. Some damage to the interior and exterior, and a functional issue where one of the doors does not properly close. We have additional concerns that there could even possibly be structural damage, based on observations noted by the installer. When I spoke to our sales rep at Setzer's, he was very dismissive, seemed annoyed that I would even contact him about the problem and said we would have to deal directly with GE. I followed up with an email to him regarding our conversation and noted his comment that Setzer's would not replace the refrigerator. He replied that they would not replace it because "they did not manufacture it". I have purchased numerous products over the years and never had a retailer deny helping me because they did not manufacture a product that they sell. I don’t know why Setzer’s has taken this stance – I don’t know if it has to do with the delay between delivery and installation, but if that is the case, Setzer’s needs to keep in mind that there’s a great burden placed on a consumer when determining the “ideal” order date if Setzer's is unwilling to give an eta. We as consumers are expected to be understanding with “their” delays, yet that same understanding is not afforded to their customer. This is not a case of “we decided we don’t like the refrigerator”….in fact we LOVE the refrigerator, we just expected it to be in brand new flawless condition, and it is not. We mistakenly expected Setzer’s to provide support, should there be a problem. At this point, Setzer’s has basically turned their backs on us and I think this is terrible service after the sale. We paid them over $11,000 of our hard earned money for brand NEW appliances plus an ADDITIONAL $1000 for “extended warranties”. We have plans for a new fireplace and outdoor grill and will NOT be going through Setzer's."
"You pay more for the appliances here based on a supposed better delivery service but that was not our case. The delivery people gouged our floor and set up the stove incorrectly, they never leveled it even though the set up instructions were clear on that. They initially wired it wrong until I pointed it out and corrected it. We had appliance sliders but they refused to use them, pretty much ignored everything we told them. I would just check and get the best price and expect poor delivery, these guys are no better than the big box stores and charge more."
