Reviews of Fifth Third Bank & ATM
"I had a $20 bill and I needed some singles, The teller told me only account holder can do that! What!?!? But my wife has an account... teller: sorry she would have to be present We'll be closing the account"
"11 am on a Saturday morning , there are only 2 employees working the whole bank. Just went in to add husband to account. How does a business not have the proper forms they need ready and available? Needless to say no one could help me. Very inconvenient and a waste of time."
"I was really excited about this bank and signing up. But after today I am already considering a change :(. Walked in and there was one teller and one person in front of me. I had 20 minutes so no big deal. 20 minutes later I have not been seen and there is a line of 8 people. The manager keeps coming out to fix the tellers mistakes but then doesn’t help with the line? Then when I get to the front and say I needed a direct deposit slip the teller seems exasperated and I’m told “you should have seen him (the banker)” How am I suppose to just know that? now I’m running late, I have to wait for the banker, I’m not happy with this first experience at all. I put three stars because the first banker I dealt with was very nice. But if I were going after this experience alone it would be a star and a half star."
"It a nice bank. People are usually respectful. Check and savings are very good. One bad experience. I was sitting out in front of the bank I close my eyes because it's not 9:00 when the bank opens. The lady that works inside the bank came out knocked on my window and asked me to move because she doesn't want me to sit there with my eye closed. So she preferred me to leave all together. I parked on the other side of the bank it's raining and I guess she wants me to get wet by the time it's 9:00 I'm going to go inside all drenched. I needed to do some thinking inside and this is the first time I've ever been disrespected. I'm just sitting here waiting for the bank to open and apparently that's a problem."
"This bank is ridiculous. I used to have a secured card with them years ago. They told me when I opened the account that it would go unsecured after I showed a good payment history. After 3 years of on time payments they refused to make any portion of it unsecured. I had a secured balance of $2150. I finally decided to close the account and get my money back as it was clear they would not honor what they had said to get me to open the account. Last July I made the mistake of opening another secured card with them. I am still trying to get a credit card mailed out and it's been 6 months. They absolutely refuse to mail a card to a P.O. Box. Even though it would be delivered to a US post office and put in a locked box, they claim it's a security risk. I repeatedly tried to get a card delivered to my home address but since they only have 1 address line in their computer system, anyone with a long street name will have their apartment number cut off. So my card kept getting sent back. Then they offered to fedex me a card but I was going out of the country for a week and I told them not to do it because i would not be there to sign/receive it. They went ahead and sent it anyway and of course I was not there. They also charged me $30 for that service without telling me. I then go in today, completely fed up with this bank. I give them my new address and of course...the same address line issue comes up. She says she can't put in suite numbers because there is no place for it. Every single bank in history has 2 address lines. Why does this bank not have room to put apartment numbers or suite numbers? So, she can't update my address and refuses to accommodate me in any way. I would love to close this account but it will hurt my credit score if I do. So, again I have no card to use. Stay away from this bank, especially if you have a long street name with an apt number or suite numbers."
