"Call or email ahead of time. I made the mistake of showing up on a Sunday unanounced. Smiley was kind enough to open the gate for me after I left a voice message. It is hard to describe the shear quantity and variety of orchids being grown here. Smiley will have the orchid for your taste and growing conditions, backed by her experience and knowledge. If you are even remotely interested in orchids or appreciate plants in general, this is a must visit destination. I loaded up what I could carry on a plane ride home, and everything is growing great and healthy."

"I took my 90 yo mom to Smiley Orchids (after making an appointment which was as simple as an email), and it was a wonderful experience. I got to see (and smell the scent of) some of the rarest orchids I've only heard of! By the way, Smiley is a person, and she is as knowledgeable as she is kind-hearted and talented! This was a highlight for me and my mom. I bought a Chocolate Orchid and a Bubble Gum orchid and am delighted with my purchase of healthy, stunning flowers. "Tranquil, healing, peaceful space. A wonderful place to visit. You will need to make an appointment. I emailed Smiley and she responded that day. It was an hour and a half drive and it was worth it! So many beautiful orchids and herbs! Smiley walked us around and taught us so much. Very welcoming and friendly place. Smiley lives up to her name. It a real pleasure to visit. We will definitely return in the fall when all the Vandas are in bloom. I was able to purchase the orchids on my wish list and more. If you have not visited you should go! 11 months later……,. We made a Return visit to see all the Coelogyne rochussenii in bloom. What a show. Smiley is such a wealth of knowledge. Many rare orchids and so many with wonderful scents.
