"Loved SunTrust bank, but since they became Truist they are absolutely HORRIBLE! We banked with them for over 20 years with no issues until they became Truist. Our last experience was bad enough to make us close our accounts. They froze an account and stopped scheduled online bill payments because they said there was no signature card on file. They did all of this without notice, not even any advance notice or courtesy phone call asking for us to come in and sign a new signature card. We called their customer service number but no one there could tell us why they froze them and temporarily seized our funds. I spent 2 HOURS in a branch before anyone could figure out what was going on (and I'm still not sure if that was the issue!). I'm CFO of a real estate development firm that has multiple accounts with Truist. We've run several hundred million dollars through the bank over the last few years in sales and acquisitions with plans for several new multifamily developments in the works. Truist bank, ask yourself if your incompetence has and will impact our future business with you???"
"One star because if they had a 0 star review I would be using it. I am completely amazed how this bank operates. They have the rudest and most unprofessional tellers. How is this possible? We come here and trust this people with our money and can not even get a “HELLO” when you approach the tellers. No customer service at all!!!! Completely dissapointed! Will be closing my account and finding a better bank! Which at this point it looks like any bank would be better than this nonesense."
"Customer Service is not good at all. My mom has been a customer since last year and I have to go with her, because she is elderly. And wow! What a change from her previous bank. I don’t usually leave negative comments, but this need to be done. Need to improve customer service. Those tellers behind the counter are so rude… and btw My mom had problems with my her deposit form because they filled it out wrong… what a mess of a bank. I don’t recommend this bank in general."
"I have been banking in this bank since 2006 and in the past 6 years there service has dropped dramatically. You go this bank and they are so slow the most of the people waiting for an official get up and leaves without the service including me quite a few times. You call there customer service and you need to make sure you have at least 1 hour off to take care of the issue. I just called and waited for 50 minutes had to dropped the call to solve something else. I called back and waited 45 more minutes and they never answered. In 2006 I tried to purchase a home they denied me with me having great job and great credit which I could not understand. One week later another bank approved me fast. I tried purchasing a vehicle also got denied went to WF bank and I was approved the same day. What is wrong with this bank... I will switch banks this year because I am tired of dealing with so much incompetence."
"Passing through town, needed quarters to do my laundry. Stood in line for 10 minutes while 3 tellers conferred with the one customer ahead of me. When one of them finally called me forward, I passed her a $20.00 dollar bill and asked for 2 rolls of quarters, only to be told they couldn’t do any transactions if I didn’t have an account. I spoke to the manager to voice my dissatisfaction. She agreed with me that this was not good service, but also refused. “It’s our policy, OK?” No it’s not OK! I’ve got your new slogan: “SunTrust, the bank too important to break a twenty!”"
