"My experience was not good. I did buy a home and I am very happy with my home, but I ended up paying more monthly than I wanted to and many of the things that went on throughout the process could have been avoided with better communication. The whole time I got the feeling that Lindsay didn't want to talk to me, and when she did, she had a condescending tone, which was off putting. The responses to my calls and texts were delayed and she continued to tell me to talk to her assistant Shaniece, who was great. She helped a great deal and was always available. However, Lindsay told me she would call me to go over numbers through an email on more then one occasion and she never called. She also told me we weren't using my IRA, and then two days before closing I was asked where my IRA funds were, which I never obtained since I was told I wasn't using it. This made my payment jump, some people wouldn't care, but I am a single mom and I count every penny, so an almost $60 jump is big for me. We never went over numbers and every time Lindsay asked me to sign the closing disclosure, she told me it was not accurate and we would go over it when it was. I was also told because I was receiving the down payment assistance, I wouldn't need to bring any cash to closing. I was actually driving to the closing and Lindsay texted me and told me I would need to bring $300 to closing. I called to ask questions and she never answered. I showed up with cash and the title agent told me I couldn't use cash and also advised this is the worst experience with a broker she has ever had. I also texted Lindsay to let her know I wasn't happy about the process and how I felt about everything and she never responded to me."
