"Robby and his team were fantastic to work with. Wrapped everything that needed it and use do care when moving out of the old house and into the new house. Very professional, friendly and efficient. We had no damaged items and nothing was lost. Best move we've ever had. I highly recommend Moving Across America."
"We highly recommend Moving Across America as a friendly, reliable, and fairly-priced professional moving service, owned locally out of Rotonda, FL. As a pair of Seniors, we appreciate how Bobby and his staff went the extra mile to give us amazing personalized service with great respect. They moved our belongings plus 2 large appliances to Jacksonville, efficiently and with great care. Thank you for the smoothest, stress-free move ever!"
"Good guys that knew what they were doing when it came to moving a sleeper sofa and big TV. There were no problems and they were quick. I read another review and as a reminder, remember that moving companies are protected from liability when it comes to your stuff. So ask what will happen if something gets damages and ask to see it in writing."
"We used their services 2 times in a 9 month period since we had a short term rental from a house to apartment then to a house. This is a tough review to write because we received great, prompt service on both moves. But then, on our last move, the movers dropped the ball in transporting a recently purchased sleeper sofa. They damaged all four corners of the new sleeper sofa when they forced and pushed through a door opening in to the home. I brought it to the attention of the owner of the moving company on the spot and he assured me they would get it fixed. First, they stated they would have someone come to our home to review the damage and provide estimate for them to fix. Weeks passed and no resolution. Then, I offered to see if my insurance would cover the damage and the moving company can pay for any deductibles or out of pocket expenses. I was being too nice, because the moving company should themselves offered to file an insurance claim with their business insurance and they did not offer that. Anyway, turns out my insurance would not cover and I again reach out to the owners of the moving company to try to resolve the matter privately and fairly. 2 weeks passed, and they did not reply. After realizing that we are not getting anywhere with resolving the matter, I again reached out asking if they would at minimum, refund a percentage of the payment we made for their moving services. We could have been jerks and pursue a resolution via small claims civil court or push for them to file a business insurance claim, but we wanted to be fair and not go down that route. They finally responded and made an insulting lowball offer of a partial refund. We never intended to cause damage to them as a small business, as we too are small business owners and understand how the system works. Our simple plan was to try and sell the damage sofa sleeper that was caused by the moving company, attempt to get a percentage of a refund on our move and use that to replace our new damaged couch with a brand new replacement from the store and we felt strongly that we should not have incurred a financial loss, since the damage to the sofa sleeper was caused by the moving company. So, to conclude, the moving company shielded themselves with a state regulations that limits movers liability damages to property to 60 cents per pound, in our case $180 for an items that we recently paid $1,454.35 inclusive of taxes and insurance. The same law the shields them of this 60 cents per pound also states that they move, prior to the move, must disclose in writing the liability limits and allow us to either accept these terms or seek for higher limits and we would have paid accordingly. They never but anything in writing. Shame one me for accepting this verbal contract, but even more shame on the moving company for hiding behind this regulation, yet they themselves did not comply with proper stated mandated consumer disclosures. Soooo. - quick update. About 3 weeks ago they said they would pay $180 and now they have gone non responsive and have not paid."
