"I was only employed there for 3 months in the fall 2018. I had an aneurysm during the work day. I fell unconscious and was airlifted by emergency Helicopter to Baptist Medical Center downtown Jacksonville where I spent the next 4.5 months. One of the supervisors kept in contact with me, Ronnie Strickland. While I was employed there, though only a short time, I was treated like I was family. Overtime was encouraged but not necessary. I wish I could go back to work for Smith Trucking. I recall "Thad" who was in upper management. I recently spoke with Ronnie and admitted I could not return as a Dump Truck driver. He suggested applying for a Job as a Bulldozer driver. Maybe I can one day. Thank you Smith Trucking."
"Was supposed to pick up 2 loads of fill and no one was at the pit. Called the office and there response oh sorry, they left for the day. They should have verified someone was still there when we were at the office and paid, not after we drove 30 minutes out to the pit. Wasted time."
