"Obviously you can't be in business for 40 some years without your "yes being yes" and "no being no"...treating customers honestly. Quite frankly, you've just made a very bad decision if you didn't hire Tom (I mean, as long as you can get him, his place is packed). I found Tom by calling other top marine services around Miami and asking who had the best track record / reputation for Mercury sterndrives and there is only one name they would give me; Tom with USA Power Boats. They said the marine industry standards down here are so low, they WOULD NOT put their own reputations to recommending anyone else other than Tom (and I pleaded for more, as I didn't want to be stuck with only one option). Moving forward, Tom’s quote was very reasonable (about 30% less than other quotes I had) and so I hired him & his team and everything went even better than expected. AND really it was a very difficult job for him or any shop...probably he didn't make much money. Boat was a complete mess. What started out as changing only universal joint... led to having to take my motor completely out as everything had not only been done wrong (upon a new motor in 2013), motor never seated properly...everything falling apart everywhere. Ended up needing new V6 motor manifolds (images attached), new gimbal housing, new lower unit stern drive..etc. Was almost a 1.5 month project and Tom kept me in the loop with updates constantly and encouraged me not to spend money on the boat (never heard that one before from a mechanic shop!!) No question, Tom gets way more satisfaction in how he treats Customers than his bottom line as a business and that is why I feel indebted to write this review. AND his team and top guys are the same way... which is the essential element of any business. Superb work... thanks again gentlemen!!"
