"I’m sorry we have been going there for years, it isn’t the same. They used to have a stage food tents it ran all the way to 12 for the best fireworks, now closes at 8 and you have to wait 4 hours with nothing to do for the fireworks. Still awesome show of fireworks but nothing to do but wait 4 hours for show. Sorry but didn’t make since"
"Family atmosphere, plus central Ave galore for party hardy celebrants!"
"My experience was not ...very good need to Learn how to Respect ...the public..I won't ever return there ✔️"
"We spent New Year’s Eve 2021 at First Night on the Pier and it was the Best New Year’s Eve we have had in years! We had lunch on the pier and then enjoyed a multitude of kid activities and entertainment; then the kids played on the playground and in the sand (bring extra clothes) while we listened to a great DJ and finally saw some fun early fireworks at 8 pm. We had only planned to spend a few hours there but we were there for almost 7 hours and the kids still did not want to leave. A great family event that doesn’t break the bank - we will be returning for the next New Year’s Eve! We may try the ice skating next time!"
"WOW - First Night 2015 was such great fun! Loved seeing so many people including multi-generational families enjoying our glorious, thriving downtown and the local culture that abounds here. We were thrilled to see improve and opera in the same night! The fireworks were lovely, bands terrific and activities for kids were perfect. We also enjoyed seeing everyone in their Mad Hatter grocery bag hats along with lights, food and people swinging in the banyan tree. Many thanks to the tireless efforts of the First Night group and volunteers for making it all come true. See you next year."
