Reviews
"Edited* Originally, when I posted this review, it was a 1 star with many negative points and bad experiences. But the very next day I posted this review, I got a call from the store owner (Andrew), and I told him my experiences, and he listened. He was very apologetic and genuinely meant it. At the end of the day, my problem was solved, my issues were heard, and Andrew is just an overall really great guy who's runs an amazing, clean, and organized store with great selections. If you ever do have ANY problems with this establishment, just get in touch with Andrew. I implore you, please do business with these guys!"
"It's an absolute treat to visis this shop when I am in town. First, the owner is so nice (i.e. offering a stool to sit on while browsing the lower level stock). But the selection and the curating are really the gems here. EVERYTHING is alphabetized, unlike some shops. And the different genres are clearly defined. Plus, there are mutiple copies of a particular musician's work (not just one copy of recent release). For example, if I can find a shop at home with any Stereolab, they"ll have one album. HAR has 5-6 spanning 25 years. Same with M. Ward and others. As I told the owner, if I ever were to own a record store I'd want it to be just like this one. And isn't imitation the ultimate form of flattery? Anyway, THANKS for being such a cool spot! UPDATE 10/23- Another great visit! Rolled into town just before closing time and scored two new Tom Waits re-issues and the post-humous Sparklehorse. This place excels at being awesome! Plus, I get to walk up the sidewalk and have dinner at Harry's and drizzle PoBoy juice on my record bag. Perfect!"
"Chill little record shape in downtown Gainesville area. Had lots of alt., Indie and punk genres as well as modern artists. They have some older used records for cheap and others were pricier. Parking is tough in the area but I loved this shop!"
"This is a definitive record store. The gentleman behind the counter has an encyclopedic knowledge of his inventory, and music as a whole. I have never managed to walk in this store and not spend my entire paycheck. Parking can be an issue, but if you enjoy music in any capacity this is a must visit. Update: I now own over 250 vinyls. Help."
"Had a nice selection of records. Also their covid plan of action is great, taking temperatures at the door with sanitizer and giving gloves out. Didnt have what I was looking for unfortunately. Definitely a chill/safe spot to dig."
