"My husband and I have been talking about getting a kayak since we moved to Florida 7 months ago. Hubby said we should rent some before purchasing just to be sure that we liked it. So we went to Waterways in englewood Fl and spoke with Sam the manager. He suggested we rent two different kayaks just to feel the difference. Sam was absolutely a joy to deal with . I was a little skeptical going into a specialty store ( you know how it can be …kind of judgy.) Sam didn’t even bat an eye when two old , out of shape people walked into his shop. Made us feel like it was totally normal. I loved it ! Made my heart happy . We took two kayaks out for 3 hours for a small rental fee.We enjoyed it so much we ended up buying two kayaks from waterways at an excellent price. By the way the rental fee comes off the price if you make a purchase. So my advice …..life is short , don’t get in your own head , go to Waterways and see Sam . You will love the experience as we did ! Happy kayaking …."

"Sam, the manager, was so incredibly helpful. My Hobie had issues regarding the rudder. He fixed it, free of charge. What a great company. They are known in the Venice-Englewood FL area for their great customer service. I didn't realize that they also design and build kayaks and fishing boats, also in pedal boats for so much less than Hobie and such a great modern look."

"Was looking for a good quality kayak under 80lbs. Checked out other brands even visited a few stores. Comparison was that feelfree was a better designed kayak. The rudder system uses cable verses other brands we looked at used strings. Hot florida sunshine and salt water. How long before it breaks and I’m stuck using my paddle as a rudder trying to get back. Things never break at a convenient time. So I can see that it’s a more reliable option than the cheap strings kayaks. We purchased 2 moken 10PDL kayaks, cup holders, paddles, and a cooler which checked all our requirements. Upon entering we were greeted by a very friendly dog (Mabel) who was a pleasure to pet. Next time I’ll bring her a few treats. Sam helped us out and answered all our numerous questions. Sam was very friendly even installed our rudder on our kayak and then helped us load it on the roof of our car. He truly went above and beyond. He gave us a map detailing the locations of kayak launches in the area. I can’t say enough about what a enjoyable experience this was for us. Sam gave us his card so if we have any issues or questions we know who will be there for us. We also received 15% discount on accessories today. We will be returning for our next kayak at waterways.
