Reviews of Off the Hookah
"The DJ that is here on Fridays aka( dj phill) is terrible he didn’t play any new music only OLD SONGS and the floors were wet. Could have slipped."
"PLEASE READ DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING HERE! All 3 Doorman was extremely rude. 1ST one Told me "1: I you're too close to the ropes and 2: Im not let me in" I asked to speak to the Supervisor because that wasnt a valid reason to turn down my business. A short bald guy claimed to be in charge after the 1st doorman told him a story and the Supervisor declined my business as well as two guest the came with me. After explaining that what he was doing wasn't right another security officer told us to pack it up and flicked off one off my guest after an exchange of words. These simple doorman are punks with attitude. I ended up enjoying myself at America Backyard right around the corner running into plenty of other better options. Please read this establishment reviews and youll notice the consistency in bad reviews. Majority of those 5 stars with no comments are obviously done my management and employees. The owner should be ashamed of their management staff."
"This is a WARNING to anyone who decides to go here. Just tonight, 7 people had their phones stolen. SEVEN! Wanna know where the security cameras are pointed? At the cash registers/bars, nowhere else. This is even considering the fact that theft is a regular occurrence here, according to the police. If management won't go out of their way to protect their clients, hopefully their clients will catch on and take their business elsewhere. I'm very sorry for everyone who lost important photos that can never be replaced. UPDATE (9-11-13): I'm not aware of the total number of personal items that were stolen tonight, but my girlfriend's phone was stolen AGAIN. Keep this in mind if you decide to visit this place."
"TACKY! The egyptian theme was sort of cool in 1995. But makes sense for desperately failing downtown Ft. Lauderdale here in 2012 and the below average people it attracts. Finally visited the venue and wasn't expecting much from the low class off-the-hookah brand. But wasn't expecting such disappointment either. Way overdid it with the egyptian theme. Bad lighting. Mediocre sound. Really bad placement of the DJ Booths. Too high in the main room. Tucked away in the upper corner of the side room (might as well just play the radio). In closing There's really no choices for quality nightlife in Ft. Lauderdale anymore. The nipples of mother hope have run dry for Ft. Lauderdale."
"This place is ridiculous. I've never paid more money for drinks in my life. I'm still wondering how 4 people run a $400+ dollar tab with 3 rounds of shots and one round of beer. Waiter kept flirting with my wife all night and asking for her phone number and she kept telling him no. After a while we were asked to leave by 3 bouncers and 4 police officers not before being forced to pay that $400+ tab without looking over it. Called the next day to dispute it, and was ignored. Never again."
