Reviews of Twelve Miami
"Atmosphere and music was on the good side but that was about it. Bar was super sketchy. Won’t show receipt that shows gratuity already included and was charged different prices for the same drink? Doesn’t make sense. Some of the chairs had stains like the one pictured. Not going back. Also in a shopping mall which makes it feel like we were going to a quince/dance hall."
"The first reason of why i am giving this place a very poor review is due the fact that you can smoke inside of the place, Horrible. Second the drinks are extremely expensive, more than any high end place in Miami. I was charged two different amount for the same drink. Lets also mentioned that the concert started around 4am, i am guessing to give the people some time to expend money. Last but not least the security is very rude and barely talk, the only way of communication i saw there was pushing customers around. I will not recommend this place to anyone. There are hundreds of places better than this in south florida"
"we came here for a concert, so my feedback is purely for the space as a concert venue. the sound was excellent and there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. the only issue is the parking for this place. that lot is a nightmare at night."
"Adding to the previous reviewers. This place has only one goal, make as much money, however they can. Our event also didn't start at the announced 9PM. They had two separate lines, which magically had to blend into 1 line when they opened the doors at 10.15. Standing in line we viewed valet parking lining of a a public parking lot(!!!!), which clearly said FREE parking and making it into their valet parking. After entering it looks OK, but it soon becomes clear, why you are not allowed to sit on the back of the sofa's, they are poorly put together and covers are sewed together by a half blind person. When you do want to sit, because waiting for the announced act for 5 hours does get you tired of standing, you have to order some weirdly branded bottles of booze. Left alone your pick of 3(!) different beers, not even a regular Bud, just Bud light(those bottles don't get you seated though). Then there is the DJ, which I think is too much honor. I think my random music player makes better mixes and his choice of music has no definition. The sound is obviously designed by someone who just came of of his iPod and thought, just being loud will do the trick. It hurts your ears and will create serious ear damage fast. Let's not forget the announcer, who is obviously in charge of it all. He continuously keeps talking over the music, like I'm listening to talk radio. Really annoying. Then there are support acts. One rap crew we saw seemed to be mostly happy with themselves and looked like they seemed to belong to the club. Dr. Pauer was refreshing, although the sound left him alone. Actually so was the rap crew and the light jockey didn't bother to put a spotlight on them. All light was on automatic pilot and therefor made no sense. We barely made it to the main act at 2.15 AM, but could not finish watching the whole performance as we had been standing for over 5 hours, by then. It did wake up the light guy as the spot lights magically appeared. The video screens are nice, but mainly show their own logo, designed by a twelve year old(Ah, that's where the name comes from!). Don't believe the 5 star ratings, most of those reviewers only have one post, which they kept as short as possible."
"Nice place, amazing performance, good staff but event said started at 9 pm.. wouldn't let anyone in until 10 pm even thought there was already a big line.. also felt discrimination.. if I don't order a bottle I can't get a table? Come on.. spent the same money but on drinks, does not seem fair at all.. ended up sitting on a stage towards the back feeling pretty uncomfortable"
