"Staff was very helpful and friendly! The boat was clean and in tip-top shape."
"Been a member for 3+ years, total decline in boat maintenance and service. FBC does not repair the boats even after issues (like STEERING and broken flapping doors) are reported months earlier. Getting a boat with a working live well and depth finder is rare. More importantly - FBC requires a bank account to draw charges from automatically and without prior notification. Last month FBC incorrectly set up an annual charge as a monthly, then incorrectly charged my account double 2 months in a row. It took 3 days to get customer service to return my calls. 2 weeks in now, the significant overcharge to my account has still not been refunded and I'm unable to reach customer service again."
"UPDATE: The boat we reserved ended up having engine issues despite me physically coming to the dock the night prior and asking about it. I couldn’t make it out of the channel and needed limp back in at 8rpm. I ended up transferring all our things and kids to a non fishing pontoon ($50 in bait and money and hours of prep time for 9 rods and reels and fishing with kids down the drain) which also had engine problems at full throttle so we just parked outside the channel and let the kids play in the water so they had fun. FBC leadership (besides Matt the tow guy and Jason the dock manager from Homosassa who never had staffing issues when he ran PR cause he’d just show up himself) wouldn’t speak with me, indicating to their dockhands that they’d get back to me on Monday (when it’s good for them, they’re enjoying their Father’s Day on boats fishing after all)Tipped the dock guy (Mikey) that showed up for the no-show $40 because shame on FBC leadership for throwing an hourly employee in the line of fire for their mistakes with staffing and showing an absolute lack of leadership and responsibility. Taking Jason away from this dock was one of many dumb things this company has done in the last two years. My fathers days with Freedom Over the past two years have been - running out of gas in the tarpon springs channel because they didn’t fuel the boat before we left and needing to be rescued/towed. - waiting an hour with 4 kids on a boat at the dock because they don’t have a dockhand scheduled on FATHERS DAY. Get it together Freedom Boat Club"
"We have been a member a few weeks, and it’s been a blast. One we did the orientation we were off booking boats. The trick is to plan. Last minute boats from popular locations book up, but plan out 3-4 weeks and never a problem. We have called last minute and picked up a boat if we are flexible with boat type and location."
"Captain Ted was great! The course was informative and helped build my confidence out on the water. Looking forward to being a FBC member. Thank you Captain Ted! UPDATE: The dock staff of Justin, Lou and Braden are an awesome bunch. These guys are helpful and have great attitude. Thanks guys !"
