"I’ve only had my membership for less than a month and already am cancelling because of a horrible experience today. I arrived 15 mins early for my appointment because I know I had a hard stop at the end of my scheduled appointment. Amina who checked me in said I will need to wait until my scheduled appointment. So I said okay and patiently sat down. A walk in came right after me and was seated immediately. Mind you, I didn’t select a specific manicurist so I’m not sure why I had to wait. The lady who did my manicure couldn’t get the shape right so we weren’t going to end in 30 mins and I needed to leave. So I asked to come back later to finish the appointment. When I came back Amina once again said I had to wait until 2pm because they don’t have anyone available. When someone was clearly available bc they haven’t even started their next appointment. Amina seems to lack the necessary decision making skills in these situations so I’m wondering why there isn’t a manager available. I even gave Amina options, I asked if the available manicurist can just finish my polish since the manicurist said it should take less than 2.5 mins. But Amina refused to accommodate me. I left the appointment with uneven shape and no polish. 1/29/24 update: I’ve brought it up to 4 stars because Kara, the manager, is amazing. After leaving the review above, she reached out immediately and got me in to have my manicure and pedicure fixed. She was very apologetic for the mishap on my previous visit and wanted to make it right for me even if I wanted to cancel my membership. I decided to keep my membership as I do like the convenience of getting my manicure touched up anytime I want. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 bc the quality of the manicure/pedicure isn’t always consistent. I’ve tried a few of the nail techs and I think Yadi, Cynthia, Wnerci, and Edvi are good."

"I have been coming to Glosslab Midtown since its opening and I won't be going anywhere else! Sara and Yadi always leave my nails perfect. If I can't think of a color or a design they are quick to offer suggestions and when I have ideas they always do a great job of recreating what I want. They are always professional, kind, and respectful of my time. If you come to Glosslab Midtown make sure to ask for them!"

"I went for a regular mani/pedi just to try it out before getting the membership and I was so happy with the whole experience. I was greeted by Amira (I think that was her name, sorry if I’m butchering the spelling). She was very friendly and helped me choose the right polish that went best with my skin color. Angella was so sweet and also very professional! She did an amazing job shaping my short nails and taking good care of my hands. Polish came out very pretty as well, loved my mani! Nohora did such an amazing job with my pedicure! I am always skeptical with pedicures because I’ve had many bad past experiences where nail techs cut too much cuticle or cut my nails wrong and then I get painful ingrown nails but Nohora was extremely professional and knowledgeable. She was very precise and delicate and also did a good job with the polish. Yadi did my mom’s pedicure. My mom had a bruised toenail from a can that fell on her toe and she was scared that it was going to be a painful pedicure. She was pleasantly surprised when Yadi showed such kindness and delicately performed the best pedicure ever without hurting her. Yadi was very sweet and patient. Amazing experience overall! Definitely recommend."
