"I came at 6pm to this nail place in 01/26/2024 with my mother. By Sunday 01/28, my nails were peeling. Went o the salon told them I wanted it fixed or refund. A guy fixed it for me and today it 01/30 and it’s peeling again. I believe they use expired products on our nails. I had get polish on my cuticles. My nails are peeling. They said it’s my nails fault because it doesn’t take “gel”. They won’t take fault. My moms nail are coming off too. I got my nails done at Guppy Nails in Davie Rd ext and got them done 12/31/2023 and it never chipped or peeled. It lasted till 01/26/2024. I will be calling the office for a FULL refund for my nails and my mothers. I should’ve taken the empty office as a RED flag. Do not come to this salon, it has no clients and their front desk are incredibly rude. I will be calling and if a manager will call me ASAP because I will demand my full refund for these nails."
"I am the type to try and stay as loyal as possible to one place and fix any problems I have with them directly, but this is just too much. I went in on a Saturday for a full set of acrylic nails, coffin shaped, black. Nothing crazy. I had seven of my old acrylic nails still on that were a bright pink color. I am not a nail technician and am not pretending to know anything in that field, this was just the first time I have experienced this. Instead of removing the old nails, he just removed the color and added more of the acrylic powder to fill it in. When I asked him why he was doing that he just said it was fine and I decided to trust the process. I had concerns on the the durability of the nails, cleanliness, length, and thickness, but again, I wanted to TRUST THE PROCESS. I did ask if the nails would last the same as getting a fresh new set, he said absolutely. I did ask if he was going to clean up the nails thickness and he said “why ?” & I said because it’s super thick since you’re adding more acrylic powder to old acrylic powder. He said “okay I fix.” Everything ended in me walking out with thick bumpy nails right in the middle where he was trying to blend the old and new acrylic powder. They were also so much longer than I would have wanted because obviously my nails have grown from the original pink set. This is not even where the problem started because again. I am not picky at all, no they are not worth what I paid, but it is something on my nails and as long as it last then it’s fine. Acrylic nails tend to last me about a month for some reason, but even if these lasted 10 days I would have been happy. Not even 3 days later and the first nail pops off. No big deal, I call and try to get it fixed that day after work. The receptionist was lovely in the moment, said I can come in right now. I was 10 minutes away, arrived 12 minutes later because of the rain, run across the parking lot in the rain just to be told “sorry the nail tech left and the guy that is here is finishing up his last client.” I was a little baffled that he wouldn’t just quickly take me to fix one nail after he finished with them but I understand peoples time is precious so I made an appointment for the next day. Next day rolls around and the nail tech that did my nails originally is the one to fix it. Maybe I am overthinking it, but I felt like he was actually mad at me for the fact that he didn’t do my nails correctly and one ended up popping off. He said little comment such as, but not limited to: “nothing is guaranteed in this world” “who normally does your nails ? You should stick with them if they do such a good job.” I tried letting him know i wasn’t upset over the nail coming off because it was an easy fix so it’s okay. Maybe it was an accident, maybe it was him letting me know he was mad at me, but he put the nail on completely crooked. The nail looks like a drunk person walking tilted. Nonetheless, understanding the pressures of customer service, I still was happy just to have a nail and tipped him $20. Now… 2 days later… a different nail falls off and several are lifting and annoyingly getting stuck in my hair all the time. It had not even been a week since paying for these. I have contemplated calling back and having it fixed, but I cannot fathom going through that experience a second time. I wanted to call just to express how disappointing the entire experience was and will be moving on the salon, but ultimately felt this was the best route. The quality of the nails were not there. They are not as pigment as they should be, they are lumpy, thick, and probably all going to fall out within the next few days. Would not surprise me. I am not even big of quality but that is just because I don’t care. But I know I should care. I am just asking for them to at least stay on a couple weeks and that has turned into mission impossible. I am moving onto another salon due to how inconsistent my experiences have been. I will say that the nail technician Duck is great and maybe if he did my nails originally I would not be at this point."
"This is my place for acrylic & gel nails, brows, and spa pedicures. I've been going to this location for 11 years and will continue to do so as long as my nail tech, Duc & my pedicurist, Gina, are there. They also have wonderful front staff who listen and are responsive to your needs. They are also willing to resolve any issues you may have with your service; just be prompt in reporting it to them. So, check them out on IG 'n give 'em a try!"
"What a great experience. Doug was so pleasant and entertaining. Great conversation and job. I walked in and received service within minutes. Got a full set for $30. Prices are clear so no surprise at the end. Lots of parking and easy location to find. Will make this my future nail salon for all services."
"By far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon in my LIFE. I went to this salon with high hopes of a great experience….. I received the worst service ever from a “professional”. First , I walked in and said a general hello and the only person to say hello back was a waiting customer, NOT the employees. It is what it is. I sat down to receive my service, I was getting a pedicure, and it started off well with the cleaning of the foot but it quickly took a left turn when it was time for polish . Please see pictures attached . I wanted a French Gel pedicure plus the extra package of an exfoliating scrub $$. The polish , the professionalism, and attitude was all wrong . I asked the technician to please fix the French line she applied and she got upset of course, the manager came over and asked if everything was okay and I explained the issue and he understood because he could see the work for himself. The technician grabbed my leg very rudely and took off the polish with the drill(Gel polish). The manager walked away . She started to reapply the coat (light pink polish used for pink and white French style) , the manager walked back over to check the application….The technician only put ONE coat of pink polish …ONE, and tried to apply the white line ….I had enough at that point , I asked her to please stop. She got upset and grabbed my leg AGAIN rudely , the manager had to tell her to stop. I still paid $40.00 plus $10.00 tip for this horrible service . See the pictures attached , this is what Nail Trix calls a French Gel pedicure …….."
