Office managers Rachel Henthorn & Paula Steward are completely inefficient in doing the simplest tasks when it relates to your truss order. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere, save aggravation and money!"

"I have a very bad experience with those guys. Be aware. They took deposit and not delivered trusses. Rescheduled to 1 year ahead and later just cancel our order. We still didn't receive our deposit back.They don't care about small builders or owner builders in best case, they put them on bottom of the list."

"Terrible experience with this company. Do not spend your money or time on them. We order trusses from them for two houses we were building 7 months in advance and they promised to have them ready in July. Then they delayed it to August. And now they are delaying it till March 2022. A whole year later. We paid in full upon placing our order. They didn’t answer any of our phone calls and said their office was closed when we tried canceling our order and getting our money back. We had the hardest time getting our money back and it took us over 2 weeks to do so. DOT Lumber is so unprofessional and a company you cannot trust. We are so delayed on finishing our house now , all thanks for this company. So disappointed with their customer service. I wish I ready al the reviews they already had before moving forward with them. SAVE YOUR TIME AND BUY YOUR TRUSSES FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY. You will be very disappointed with Dot Lumber. They don’t even deserve a 1 star."

"This is a horrible company! I had trusses on order with them for 6 months, I emailed them two months before the scheduled delivery to make sure that they were still on schedule, I was told, yes, they were still on schedule. I emailed them again a few days before the delivery, I received an email back that they were not going to be building our trusses, the reason that they gave me was that they had a break in and they had vandalism done to their machines. I was suspicious of the excuse and the timing so we contacted the Charlotte County Sheriffs Dept (CCSO). We asked CCSO if they had any incident reports at DOT Lumbers address, CCSO sent us an email shortly after that there had not been any crime reports filed for that address during the time frame that we were given by DOT Lumber. Another item in the email stated that there was an untrue rumor that DOT Lumber had been dropping smaller builders for larger national builders. I drove up to DOT Lumbers facilities to try and get more answers. DOT Lumbers main office was locked up because of “Covid” and no one would come to answer the door. I was able to talk to one of the employees out in the lumber yard and he told me that yes, DOT Lumber was in fact dropping all of the smaller builders for the larger builders, another total lie! We have several thousands of dollars tied up into this building project and now we have to wait all over again with another truss company because of this shady company!"
