"I had 5 large walnut slabs and one walnut beam that were milled for me 7 years ago. Ranging in thickness from 3.5" to 6", their size and weight made it all too difficult for me to work with. I found this sawmill on the internet and called them to see if they could help me mill these slabs down to a size that would allow me to make a dining room table and an office desk. They invited me to bring them on in and they would get them milled out for me. I arrived at their mill about 90 minutes after first calling them and Robert and Ryan were great. They looked over my slabs and for each one they offered suggestions on how to best saw it down. It was left up to me to decide the final milling (how many boards from each slab and how thick) but their suggestions were taken to heart and were factored into my decisions. I was very much impressed when they noticed two of my slabs were not perfectly flat. I watched as father and son devised a way to work with this defect. They manipulated the slabs on the track of their saw in such a way that the blade did a very thin cut (about 1/4") over the slab that effectively flattened it. This technique allowed the subsequent cuts to produce flat and evenly proportioned boards. With walnut being a very expensive hardwood I very much appreciated their caring and skillset that allowed them to mill my walnut slabs in such a way that there was very little waste. I am now in a position to start on the walnut dining room table my wife has requested and will be using beautiful slabs made special because this father and son team of craftsmen cared."

And best of all from a local tree from Ocala doesn’t get no better than that. "Wood Crafting Woodworks are a 5 plus star family owned operation. They took on a difficult job when no one else would even return my calls. It was an old oak table that has been in my husbands family for years. It needed 2 new leafs and for it to be raised a little higher. I had transported this table from Alaska to Florida and wanted to refurbish it for a bigger dining room. My husband passed away in May so then it became even more important. The Ross’es did an outstanding job and explained a lot of things, like why it was a difficult job, how to store the leafs etc. The charges was very reasonable and they earned every penny of it.
