Reviews of Flooring Liquidators
"We were very pleased with the tile and prices. The sales people were nice. The only problem we had was with the installer that offered to do the job. He came out and gave us a quote and a date but never showed up or returned our calls. After reading the complaints other customers had with installers.. we feel blessed the guy did not come back. We hired some one else. Just be mindful the store does not hire the installers. You do. So research and know who you are hiring."
"The selection and quality of flooring is fine. Just get your own reputable installer. The people they sent out to us were a couple of crooks. Having to go to small claims court with the guy they recommended. Lesson learned: do a background check."
"flooring liquidators is great!! however absolutely do not use their installer jeff as your installer, jeff said he also did subfloors, i told him i also needed it leveled he said 'No Problem' they sent someone out first day they were apparently working until 3am and i had complaints from neighbours. i was given 2 prices one for the subfloor and one for the leveling. the price to level was supposed to 'include the wood' but they ripped out my 1x 6 floors (which were all broken up you couldn't 're-use them' and when i came in instead of replacing the 1x6 they were laying my 1/2 inch OSB on top of my floor trusses...that have a 2 foot gap..like that would hold anyone...EVER!! they also brought over used 2x6 for the beams and instead of using one long piece he cut it and raised it up in sections it has little hills all over it now. I addressed this with the guy they left behind and he said he couldn't get a hold of his boss and jeff said he'd go by and 'do it himself' but instead he called these guys and they said had it handled so left me to deal with them. I HAD TO GO BUY AND CARRY MY OWN 1X8s (mid-south was out of 1x6) in my new truck to replace the floor that had been ripped out....HE DIDNT' HAVE A WORKING SAW...SO I BOUGHT A SAW for him to use! When all was said and done i gave them a check not because i wanted to but because i was afraid not to, I had asked for at least the money back for the wood i payed for and i though he was going to have a fit, he bowed up at me and said he could have put the old would back in (at that point i stopped arguing, i mean the old would they destroyed and put to the road and tried to instead lay osb?? he did manage to give me half of what i paid for the wood so i guess i have that)...jeff had told me i had to deal with this guy but there was something not quite right with him and i was afraid they would come back in and mess up all the other things that had been fixed after the storm ....i'm going to have to pay to have it re done!! I needed the floors to be right for the vinyl plank I'm buying. I should have known better when they did a not so great carpet laying job at my mom's but i thought maybe that was isolated..boy was I wrong. (dont use him for carpet... don't use him for anything) So let me go back to the fact I will continue to buy my supplies here but please let my misfortune guide you to wait for someone else to be available if they suggest JEFF!! (the photos i am attaching will only be able to reflect where they didn't screw the boards down-tried to force boards that were to large and they buckled or cracked and where they have all these messed up cuts the hills and valleys were hard to photograph)"
"We started out being pretty happy with this business. However, since we do not live in the area, we had to rely on their installers to do the work. After the job was to be completed, we had our cleaner go in to prepare the condo for guests arriving the next afternoon. She called us right away to report that not only was the job not finished, the place was a mess---as it was apparent that someone had been staying there with kids! The installer stole much from us and left trash and damage behind. When we contacted the store, Don was quick to remind us that they are not responsible for the installers. I get it, but it seems to me that they should bear some responsibility by recommending them. Just beware. When you are at the mercy of a supposedly reputable business, you expect a certain level of confidence in the people they get on your behalf."
"My wife and I asked off work early to be there 45 minutes before their advertised closing time. The owner turned the lights off after we got in to dissuade others from coming in. I apologized for being there so late, and he said turning the lights off was only so more people didn't come in but he would help me. We quickly chose a style that we didn't need much of. He worked up a price, asked us where we were from (an hour away), and asked would we come back to get the tile. I asked why and the owner said the guys in the back had closed down. That was 30 minutes before their advertised closing time. When I asked about that, he said the advertised time is wrong and it costs him $1,000 to fix. I run a small business as well and I know very well that's it costs no money to change your working hours on Google. The owner made no attempt to make the sale work and just acted as if my business didn't matter. I gave 2 stars because his prices are very good and he has lots of available stock. The customer service was just awful."
