Reviews of Choo Choo Lawn Equipment
"Excellent Service!! Shout out to Corey, in the parts dept!! Picked up a Stihl charger from him and it works great!!"
"Please read! I am a disabled veteran and I highly recommend this business for your needs! They are a very valuable resource and the management took excellent care for my situation. My mower got damaged slightly while being picked up or dropped off we aren’t sure however they gave me absolutely NO hassle and is correcting the issue. I personally thank them for their integrity and honesty and definitely will be using Choo Choo in the future for ALL my needs. Thank you guys"
"I rarely ever write bad reviews but this one is deserving. Friendly heads up to anyone going here that Choo-Choo does not work on pressure washers "anymore." I took my Ryobi pressure washer in for a maintenance around 1 year ago. It has not been touched since. I hooked up the machine and attempted to use it only to find it will only apply load for maybe 2 or 3 seconds. When I took it in to Choo-Choo for repair the guy behind the counter immediately said, "We don't work on pressure washers anymore." I said that was fine, but they were the last ones to touch it and would they be willing to look at this even if I pay for their time and repair. He said, "No, and I can get a Manager if you want." I spoke with the Manager and he did his best to smooth over the situation, but kept circling back to they don't work on pressure washers any longer. I iterated a few times and in a few ways that they were the last ones to touch it, I'd like them to fix it, I'm willing to pay them to do so and I'll take it somewhere else in the future. I was not aggressive, I did not raise my voice. I spoke calmly and to the point. They were unwilling to budge citing, "The boss man will get mad at us if we do it. It's the boss man's call. The boss made this decision." So, if you're considering this establishment, I would suggest somewhere else. They're willing to sell you a pressure washer. They're even willing to maintenance your pressure washer. But when they give it back to you *not* in a working order, they won't even consider making it right. **EDIT as this is the only way I can reply** After our spirited conversation, I had some more time to reflect on what you said over the phone. Admittedly, when you accused me of bringing in a pressure washer with a broken pump, I got a little hyper but not without reason. What I mentioned is that the machine will not run more than 2 or 3 seconds under load. You or your team didn't even look at the machine to see what the problem is, you automatically said it was a pump issue. Here's the hiccup, that model has an auto-throttle feature. After the 2-3 seconds under load, it returns to normal idle. Therefore this could also have been a throttle issue, which is something you touched. No, this is not honest. This is not integrity, and this is not a good way to do business. I see why this business has the reputation around town that it does. It's totally dishonest and of little integrity when you accused me of bringing in a machine with a bad pump. When I told you that the pump was fine at the beginning you said, "But that's your opinion and you have no documentation to back that up." There is documentation. It's on your own service report where the customer brought the machine in for "X" reasons. The pump was never mentioned as being faulty. As with your checkout procedures, there's no documentation that you tested the machine to its full capacity before it left the shop. You returned a machine that is not working. Full stop. You didn't even care to investigate to find out what went bad on the machine. You simply wanted to pass the buck and moreover, accuse the customer of bringing in a faulty pressure washer. I've been in the customer service industry for over 20 years and have never treated a customer like this."
"So we purchased our zeeo turn riding lawnmower from Choo Choo about 4 1/2 years ago and was a fairly pleasant experience. Choo Choo is the only one that has worked on our lawnmower. I've never tried to diy anything or take it somewhere else. So last year, I sent it in for some routine maintenance battery belts, and blades tune up something. They should have been able to blast out in a week, maybe two. At one time, I was told that shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred dollars, but if it got too crazy, they would call me ahead of time. So, 6 weeks and several phone calls later, I was finally told it was ready and would be $600 when I asked when it could be read delivered to me. I was informed that I would get it when I got it. And that's just the way it is. Displeased with the way I was treated, I had to involve the manager John to get it back sooner and even though it ran much rougher than we thought it should it did run and we had had to cut. Fast forward to about 4 weeks ago. And the lawn mower quit driving. Wouldn't go forward, it wouldn't go backward. I got it back in the shed and lifted the front to try to see what was wrong. A sizable piece of melt a plastic had falling to the floor upon closer inspection half of the idle pulley had been melted away, and the pulley itself was locked up and would not spin. So remembering my last experience with Choo Choo, I was hesitant to call and have them do the repairs, so I ordered the parts online with the intention of replacing them myself. The pulley went on with no problem and once. I'd locked it down. It still spun freely. Unfortunately, however, the bolt holding on the electric clutch, which needed to be removed to replace the belt, would not break loose. I made several attempts over the next couple of days. Including purchasing adapters for an impact wrench and was unsuccessful. So reluctantly on tuesday the 5th, I contacted Choo Choo and explained what was going on, and I just needed the belt replaced. I already had the new one. I just needed them to change it out. I was told no problem. We can do that. They pulled up the account and told me they wouldn't let the driver know. And he would call us the day before. It came to pick it up. It would probably be at the end of the week beginning of next to which I replied excellent that will work thank you. On Friday, having not heard anything. The wife called to check was told the driver was off for the weekend would be the beginning of next week. Ok, thank you. On Monday, when no one had contacted us, she called again and was told they would find the ticket and leave a note for him to call. So here it is 1 week after that phone call and almost 2 full weeks from the initial phone call and no one, not 1 person from Choo Choo has called us. Now I fully understand they have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. And I respect that right. What is truly sad though was that they didn't have the common decency or professional courtesy to just tell me that they don't want to work on my lawn equipment. So here is my message to everyone at Choo Choo. Your message has been received loud and clear. You obviously do not want my business. No problem, I will either fix it myself or I will take it to one of your competitors for the repairs. Any future business I would have given you will now go to your competitors. If anybody asks me about my personal experience with Choo Choo I will be honest, and I will tell them about my experience and give them my personal opinion about the way they conduct business, and I will highly recommend they take their business elsewhere."
