"I am writing today to express my disappointment and frustration with Diamond Resorts/Hilton Grand Vacations. I have been a Diamond member for some time now. I have upgraded several times, not because I wanted to, but because the sales representatives are very persistent in making you think that what you own is not enough and that there is more that you should buy. In fact, I upgraded four times in less than two years. I invested a significant amount of money into these upgrades and was led to believe each time that when I was upgrading, I would be a part of Hilton, HGV Max, only to later find out, “something in the paperwork was done wrong,” and that I needed to upgrade one more time just to make sure that everything went through correctly. I spent nearly $20,000 just in down payments on these upgrades due to the sales representatives' lies and errors. I have reached out to Hilton/Diamond several times and have explained my concerns, but they are not willing to help me. The only offer they have made me is to restructure my loan so that I am still left with over $60,000 in debt. This is absolutely unacceptable and is not a solution to my problems at all. I have declined this offer and am simply lost as to what I should do next. I am writing this today in hopes that anyone else considering joining these companies will think again before signing up for this never-ending cycle of lies and misrepresentation. Toyia Poe"

"I want to let others know to stay away from Diamond Resorts. I bought a timeshare membership from them many years ago. I have upgraded several times and have ended up with several contracts. As you can imagine, I have invested a large amount of money into this membership over the years. My maintenance fees alone are over $9,000 a year. I recently reached out to Diamond/Hilton, explaining that I am now on a fixed income and that it is completely ridiculous for me to keep paying this much money for a membership I am not even able to use any longer. I received a response saying that they would allow me to exit my membership, but first, I would need to pay my 2024 maintenance fees of over $9,000 even though I will be getting absolutely no benefits from the timeshare in 2024, and not only that, I would need to pay another $6250 in exit fees just to cancel my membership. So, in total, I am supposed to pay $15,250 just to cancel. This seems absolutely ridiculous to me. I have asked them to work with them to waive the maintenance fees since I will not be using the timeshare this year, but they refuse. So now here I am, stuck with a timeshare I cannot use, and I keep receiving more and more bills and am getting no use from the timeshare I have already invested so much money into already. It seems to me that Diamond Resorts/Hilton Grand Vacations is nothing but a big scam to get more and more money from you in exchange for a bunch of nothing."

"I am writing today to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with Diamond Resorts/Hilton Grand Vacations. I have been a member for quite some time now. I have upgraded several times in hopes that things would get better, that I would have more availability, and that I would be able to utilize the timeshare, as it was all explained in my sales presentations. However, I have come to realize that all of those upgrades are just so that they can get more money out of you. Upgrading does not give you any more availability. They do not explain how the yearly maintenance fees will continue to increase and how this will be something you are stuck with for the rest of your life. I was led to believe that this was going to be a wonderful investment that I could actually make money on. However, it has turned out to be nothing but an endless cycle of high-pressure sales meetings, rising maintenance fees, and no availability. I have made no money off of this and am getting no benefits from it. I hope that if you are considering buying into HGV, you will reconsider and find something more worthwhile to invest your money in. I am currently trying to cancel my membership, but they do not seem to be willing to help, which is very disappointing considering how much I have invested in this company. Please take your money elsewhere, as the experience here is not what is presented in those long sales meetings."

"It's common to be bombarded with offers from various companies promising the world at an unbelievably low cost. We all dream of luxury trips, fancy accommodations, and the freedom to travel whenever and wherever we want. And that's exactly what these companies capitalize on – our desires for a better life. But as my family and I have unfortunately experienced, not all promises are kept. When it comes to timeshare companies such as Diamond which is now Hilton Grand Vacation this is especially true. They lure you in with grand presentations and flashy brochures, leaving you disappointed and frustrated in the end. Hilton bought out Diamond but there has been no change. They still only focus on profit over customer satisfaction and train their representatives to lie and misrepresent the true cost. They will do whatever it takes to make a sale, leaving you feeling trapped for life. We are still in limbo with Diamond/Hilton and nothing has been resolved. "We would just like to warn everyone against buying a timeshare with Diamond Resorts and Hilton Grand Vacations. We have made many purchases throughout the years and have become increasingly more disappointed as time goes on. We have reached out to Diamond and Hilton many times now, seeking assistance in canceling our membership due to medical issues that prevent further traveling. Diamond/Hilton continues to ignore our requests to voluntarily surrender all our timeshare points and will do nothing to help. We were hopeful that with the merger, Hilton would have much better customer service and help us to get this problem addressed. Unfortunately, we were wrong. Instead, we have had representatives contact us and offer us ways to cancel our membership, only to then learn without any notification, that they could no longer offer us these options. We have invested a significant amount of money into this timeshare and just keep being told that we have to wait for foreclosure actions. Why would a company like Hilton want to wait on Foreclosure and end up paying extra fees instead of listening to our concerns and helping us resolve this situation with a straight forward surrender of all our points? We have been very disappointed with the lack of any responses on the matter and would just like to warn everyone that buying into these companies is not in your best interest. The things presented to you at the sales presentations are very misleading and out and out lies, especially when they tell you how you can use your points to cover maintenance fees and travel expenses. We hope that our warning can help others from making the same mistakes we have made."
