Pat helped us in and out of the boats and onto the water with ease, much appreciated!! Just a few minutes paddle and you are in the fish bowl viewing area where we saw many manatees. "If you’re looking for a kayak rental to paddle to Homosassa Springs, Gulf Spring Livin’ is the easiest, closest and most convenient place to start from. You will be in the manatee zone and at the Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park within minutes. And the kayaks themselves are some of the best, most comfortable sit-on-tops I’ve ever used, very sturdy, stable and streamlined with excellent tracking. And the paddles are super light, which helps a lot. Most importantly, Capt. Jim and his wife Pat could not have been any more accommodating and helpful. He responded to my request for information immediately. My friends and I were a little concerned about the launch process and he invited us to go over and check it out before we committed. It’s a great launch with several options to get in and out of the kayaks. Pat was extremely helpful and patient in helping us “ladies of a certain age” get in and out. And one of the best advantages of being so close to the springs is the proximity to the “secret springs” underneath the bridge. I highly recommend you check it out. "We spent the weekend in Homosassa taking the kids on a family vacation. We booked Capt. Parker to take us to the spring and see the Manatees. When we arrived, everything was ready to go, and he even had a heater on the boat to offset the January chill! He promised to show us manatees, and said that all other animals we saw were different tours but were free of charge ;). Did he and first mate Jeana ever deliver! We saw manatees within 5 minutes of leaving the dock. It was a very peasant, peaceful, and quick trip to the spring. We saw sheepshead fish, mullet fish, mangrove snapper, and trumpet fish on the way there. We also saw a lot of anhinga and cormorant diving birds. Once we got to the spring, we were treated with a family of Dolphin schooling mullet and chasing them out of the water and catching them mid air! That was awesome to watch. We must have seen 50+ manatees, to include babies and adults. They came up to the boat to play with us in the crystal clear water. There were so many we had to wait a bit so that we could safely get out. What an experience. Long story short, you will not be disappointed. We already have plans to go back! A true discovery channel experience with a a southern charm."

"Capt Parker is the best! He went over and beyond making sure we had a great family adventure in the springs. He took our family out into the springs to view manatees and knew exactly where to go - we saw several dozen manatees, plus a group of dolphins, lots of mullet, sheepshead fish, and so much more. It was chilly out but he thought of everything to make sure we were comfortable, including blankets and a portable heater. He also provided us local restaurant recommendations for us to enjoy while in town, and both we went to were fantastic.
