"They stole EVERYTHING from my car. They are crooks and robbers. Disgusting and sadistic people."
"I felt the need to share my experience here so others are aware. I went to pick up a vehicle that was repossessed today for a family member. First, even if you make arrangements through your finance company to release your vehicle the SAME day, chances are you will not get your car the same day. You must make an appointment online (and only online) to pick up your vehicle by choosing an available slot. The book appointment button is EXTREMELY easy to miss on the website. It took us calling and choosing multiple prompts to get someone on the phone to show us where it was. Keep in mind they are only open M-F 10:30-3:30. So you have a 5 hour window to hopefully grab a slot to pick up your car. Also note, the address of the office is NOT the address of where to pick up your car so pay attention to your confirmation. When I got the car I noticed that they went through the trunk and glove compartment (both still left open). Apparently they are allowed to gain entry to your car and go through your belongings to "inventory" for "their safety" (this is what I was told) and that this is the law. I looked up the law and to me it's up for interpretation. The law does state they are personally responsible for complete and accurate inventory of someone's personal property...and in the next section states after 5 days they must give notice to the debtor of the location of their property. However, if you receive a release in less than 24 hours (and obviously less than 5 days) Why bother doing "inventory" until after the 5 day point? To me this leaves doubt and suspicion that something could have been removed from the vehicle. Why would I trust THIER inventory of our belongings...but hey I'm not a lawyer so I had to just take their word for it. Just know they WILL go through your stuff so check before you leave. There was also a confrontation between someone picking up their property and an employee while I was there. The employee got aggravated with the exchange (which started out playful) and started to get very belligerent and said some ABSOULUTELY disrespectful things. The people at the front heard it as well. I mentioned to them they need to check him because his behavior was PAST offensive and the fact that the employee was this comfortable talking to someone like that was shocking."
