"Great little 9 hole golf course that is open to the public as well as those in campground. Does have gators in the ponds so be aware of your surroundings!"
"This past winter we stayed for what was supposed to be a 6 month stay. During this time we were under a great deal of scrutiny, we had visit from owner to look at our Patio was questioned about the number of chairs and furniture! Really! Long story short, the owners are very strict about everything, don't try to come here if you want to have fun. Rules about everything including going to the dances, if your new you have to get on waiting list to get in, or you can sit on outside a listen to the music from open air pavilion. Or just push your nose to the windows. Very clique' , people were afraid to report issues with heater on pool and hot tub. Once January arrived you couldn't get on golf course unless you booked a tee time, how is it if you are staying in park you don't get and preference? The sites are very well taken care of, but again rules are strict you need permission just to put in plants, statues etc. Very "Stepford Wives" , found everyone was walking on eggshells afraid to bring attention to themselves. Conformity is the name of the game! We went to a breakfast for everyone, and my husband sat down at table and was told by long time resident that he was watching him, how much he didn't like new people it was too disruptive. Not long after we arrived my father passed away(which was why we came to stay since his health was failing) Was very involved in getting his affairs in order. I was on my way out of the park to go to his home, and I stopped to mail a letter, was asked to come in to the office, where they than proceeded to ask us to leave in less than 4 hrs. I was totally shocked. We than packed and left as quickly as possible in less than the 4 hours allotted. As much as they were not happy with us, we were just as unhappy, I have never been asked to leave an RV Park before in my life and we have been RV'ing for many years. So I recommend, you consider carefully before you book a trip here. If you enjoy having fun this isn't the place to come. We previously stayed here for Thanksgiving week and we're very pleased with the facility. My Dad & Sister live in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. So we decided to come back next year as seasonal. What a giant disaster this turned out. But even so we learned a lesson. If it seems to good to be true it probably is!"
