"My wife and I met with the owner, George, about two months ago at our south Sarasota house to get an estimate to install a HDTV antenna. We spent about 5 minutes outside with him showing him where we wanted the antenna and cable installed. After that we spent another 20 minutes talking about the cost and time table to install the equipment. We were quoted a price for the product and installation and gave him a $65 deposit believing all was going to happen. Within the past 2 months we have made multiple attempts to get a status on the installation, leaving multiple voice mails and text messages. When he did respond (which was rare), he said the antenna was out of stock and would be coming in within a day or two. After waiting so long for the antenna with no updates, I left a voicemail informing him we no longer desired his services and wanted our deposit back. He called back and said the antenna was going to be in stock the next day and he could have it installed within days. That was 3 weeks ago. We asked for our deposit back a second time and was told that the deposit we gave him was for an antenna survey, which I believe was the couple minutes we spent outside during his one and only visit to our house. Now, here I am 2 months later with no antenna and I'm out $65. We made a few mistakes along the way. First we gave him a deposit. Second we failed to get a receipt. Third, we never got anything in writing, That's our fault, We take responsibility for that. Do not trust this guy. If you do decide to do business with him do not give him a deposit. Always get what you want done in writing. We were scammed by a nice man who seemed trustworthy. Don't fall victim to him like we did."
