"I was so devastated by this company. We hired them in 2021 for a job that I was told would take 3 days, but ended up taking 3 months. I’m going to post this review with an email I wrote to Jason Ring from this company in 2021/2022 for context: “Hello Jason Ring, I am writing this letter in regards to the services my husband and I received from Redcap. Clearly we are unhappy customers and we are very unsatisfied with the quality of services provided from RedCap. This should not be of surprise as our services with this company began on 11/3/2021 and is still currently incomplete. As a reminder, this was only supposed to be a 3 day job. My husband and I would like to let you know that we were very upset with your staff's performance. For “Red-Cap” Service Guaranteed” to be a licensed and insured company, the people hired should be of quality and knowledgeable in their job duties. That was clearly not the case and when one of your employees on the job at my house stated that, “I learned plumbing off YouTube”, I then realized we were going to have a problem. Sadly we have had many problems and have dealt with the problems through almost 2 months now with this company. The work performed at our home was subpar and amateur to say the least. To quote Erik Young when he came into our home and sold us a dream with this company, “Red-Cap will do the work the right way”. We truly believed this and this very quote was the complete opposite. Nothing was done the right way from the very start. The lack of communication and lack of knowledge between your staff caused water damage to my home and brand new electronics, a hack job on my walls, and more problems with the plumbing than originally planned when they weren’t transparent about issues found. Yes, Red-Cap hired CIS to remedy(which required a loud dehumidifier machine to be kept blowing for almost 3 days) the issues caused and my electronics were replaced; However, this lack of knowledge, lack of communication and lack of transparency, caused unforeseen electrical use, unforeseen water use, unforeseen damage from this company in a large grassy area of my back yard, loss of work, loss of time, loss of sleep, inhalation of sewage gas, no kitchen sink the day before Thanksgiving, and a few days before Christmas I still have an unfinished open wall on my back patio due to the unforeseen breaking of the concrete floor and cement block on my back patio. Not to mention, the reason we chose this company was to avoid breaking concrete. I hope you can understand if not empathize with us when we say, “this company failed us as consumers and caused us a great deal of stress. We received a lot of “who shot john” and insincere apologies during this entire ordeal. We were dealt with quite inefficiently and you/ your “upper management” did not show interest after a while which they/you must show while dealing with regular paying customers. We paid the $19,800 cash contracted in its entirety to this company on good faith and false promises. Yet we were treated rather vagrantly. We held up to our end of the bargain and this company failed us miserably. We have a warranty with this company and we are very apprehensive about ever doing business with Red-Cap again. We even wanted to be regular clients of your business, but now we are completely disappointed and would rather sever ties with this company. We expected quality services and instead we were faced with quantity over quality on numerous occasions during this long ordeal. Every last one of the employees, including your “upper management” that has been to our home agreed this was one of most horrendous plumbing work performed by this company. We don’t trust any of the work done here.” In 2023 our laundry drain line backed up. Turns out a tool was left in the drain line since 2021/2022 per redcaps tech and manager. They had to cut out cement and that pipe to fix. We also have knocking in our attic/ceiling when doing laundry. I would give a “0” if I could. Brian/new manager seems to want to repair redcap, but this company failed us."
"We inherited a failing HVAC unit but were very pleased with the service in entirety from the initial appointment with Jason until the final installation. Each of these Red Cap employees were experts, thorough and very efficient. We were not pressured to purchase, nor were we oversold a unit beyond what met our needs! We were offered choices of units and also advised of financing options. The installation technicians were friendly and worked well together. Our experience with Red Cap stands out as probably the very best customer service we have ever had. They left our property spotless, with instructions for next steps, and welcomed us to contact them anytime. We took many business cards and will recommend Red Cap to our friends and neighbors. Today, the final piece of the installation was completed. The shroud is in place after a very brief delay due to inventory. Thank you, gentlemen!"
