"I remember when this mall first opened and was the hot new spot. We used to watch movies and come here all the time, however it’s gone downhill since then. I remember coming back many years ago and when me and a few friends were walking to the mall, behind us were these guys shouting at us and trying to pick a fight with us for no reason. Another time, I heard there was a car on fire with cops all around. It just didn’t feel safe anymore. Fast forward to now, after visiting the place after a long hiatus, it’s become a shell of what it once was. The shops that were around all closed, many of the popular dept stores left, and many people even come here anymore. Many of the shops here now are more novelty shops or multicultural places which is a cool change. I feel like they’re trying to reclaim some of their former glory with but it just doesn’t have the same appeal anymore. I think they’re trying to make it safer; I hope they can revitalize the place and continue to improve in all aspects including safety, products, and customer service."

"This mall has really turned around and cleaned up nicely. Just needs a few more mainstream stores and it would be back on top."

"It would be great to see us revitalize our defunct Malls. DMV is there, Dillards, and I guess AMC is open. Breathe life into this place. Add a school and a church?? Someone needs a place for a service."

"Long gone are the glory days of West Oaks Mall. It seems as though only a few of the original storefronts are still operating. The food court does offer more authentic cuisine these days, rather than the chain majority eateries that you find in other malls. It's almost certain that the movie theather, DMV and Sun Pass office are the largest draw these days. There is a gym the offers adult and children classes as well as a few activity centers."

"West oaks Mall is still pumping and hanging in there.All of the food spots are still opened , when I went the ice cream spot was closed ! BBW WORKS is still open , the JC Penny, and the Dillards Clearance Store . It was a little busy for a Tuesday ! I’m happy to see that it was getting foot traffic ! I love the AMC theatre in here !"
