"Historical Art Deco hotel and the location can’t be beat! Enjoy South Miami Beach on the north end of Ocean Drive where the road is closed to traffic. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk away!!! An easy walk to bars, restaurants and shopping. Rooms have kitchenettes and are clean and modern. Laundry on site, small work out room, yoga area that overlooks the park and a hot tub on the top floor. Morning coffee and tea in lobby. Beer or bottles of wine to purchase. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly. We sat on the front patio many times throughout our stay and enjoyed the ocean breeze swaying palm trees in the park across the street while having lunch or enjoying a cocktail."

"Good luck getting to the hotel. The road to the hotel is closed. So you will have to hope you can find a parking spot that your car won't get towed away. Then drag your luggage a mile . Also, good luck calling the front desk. I had to call 5 times to wake the clerk up. Save time and money and book elsewhere."

"This is the best hotel in South Beach. It rises above the rest not just because of location, and accommodations. It's because of its commitment to hospitality. Some spots in Miami wink at their staff being stuffy and aloof. This staff is always professional and engaged. From the GM Mrs Bor**s who can remember which floor you stayed the last time you were a guest. To Tall Paul the Chief Bellman. Who has new dining suggestions based on what you liked the last time. You haven't vacationed in South Beach unless you've stayed here."

"It is in an old area deco building, which is near, but the rooms are smaller. The location is perfect. Could not be better right in front of the beach. The service was great. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Walk down the street and you can find a million places to eat and see lots of beach goers."

"Husband and I recently stayed here for a week and it was WONDERFUL. The room was clean, spacious enough for us (the Studio) and the air conditioner was great (heat index was 115F one day). While we did not have a view (unless you looked a certain way) we took our evening beverage of choice to the front porch and relaxed and watched the world go by and talked with other guests. A very homey feeling. (hint for Hilton: Ceiling fans would be nice on porch :-) ). Cassie and Angel (Front desk) felt like family and always had a smile, a great recommendation for food or something to do. We looked forward to seeing them each day. Tall Paul greeted you each day with a smile and a story and always ready to help drag luggage or what not wherever you needed it. Such a gentleman! Too many pros to list to main ones: Location, staff, room quality and room amenities, cleanliness. Only Con... washer/dryer made clothes smell musty, like someone had put stinky tennis shoes in dryer. I suggest to use a local wash service, there was one a couple blocks down, I think on 12th."
