Reviews of Rentifi Property Management
"READ ENTIRE REVIEW-I rented from them and it was a horrible experience. If you pay your bills and go out of your way to do things the right way-DO NOT RENT from them. The day I moved in I met the lady to do a walk through. She told me she already did it. I asked if I could see the walk through so nothing could be put on me. I was informed I would have to pay $50 to get a copy. The house was disgusting. We spent a day and a half cleaning so I could move in. Screens on the lanai were all falling off but she told me it would get fixed the following day. As of the day I moved out they were still off. I could list many issues but the one that needs to be pointed out is the financial one. I was never a day late on ANY bills. I paid for lawncare, etc. and took better care of the property than what it looked like when I moved in. I had some personal things come up and I asked if I gave a 30 day notice (so they could list again) if I could move out a month early. They said that was no problem. I paid for professional cleaners and everything else on the move out list so they would not try to keep my deposit.........and you guessed it.....they kept over 2 thousand dollars for the last months rent. You have been warned. They want the money and the rest is not important to them. Good luck."
"RENTIFI managed 4 units and when reading the other excellent reviews, obviously it depends, who your designated property manager (PM) is. Back in 2022 RENTIFI accounting mixed up all accounts by moving money from one unit to another without any reason and permission. It took weeks for them to “repair”. In first quarter 2023 it took 7 weeks to schedule the annual inspections (which are included in the “gold-plan”). We just wanted to know what is going on before making a decision of renewal the leases. After tenants left one unit on 02/28/2023, more than 5 weeks after move out inspection there were no repairs or cleaning done. In another unit, tenants were supposed to move out on 03/31/2023. RENTIFI did not perform any move out inspection. Our PM Danika was not aware of that tenants were still in on 04/04/2023 After we addressed our PM why the tenants are still in the unit and about the slow and incomplete way of working during 2023, we received the termination without notice. The repayment of the owner’s funds took weeks. This review bases on our personal experiences with RENTIFI and can be proven with numerous emails and documents."
"UPDATED REVIEW: August 2023 I was a tenant in a property for over 3 years. I have not had 1 issue on late payments or any complaints. The day I wrote my previous review, I quickly received a call back right away from Danika asking me to remove the review. I didn’t yet, and her attitude towards me became much worse for no apparent reason. As the move out date was approaching (June 30, 2023), the property manager - Danika- told me that it is a REQUIREMENT to get a professional cleaner to clean my unit.. Looking back in the terms of my rental agreement, that is not a requirement. I am required to leave the premises in good condition, the way that I found it. I went ahead and paid someone to clean my unit to avoid any more problems. I asked Danika (the property manager) for 1 more day in my unit- Saturday, July 1- to be able to finish emptying everything on my day off. I offered to pay the prorated fee but she said “No, staying one more day means I have to pay half the rent and there is already a tenant coming”. It’s now August 8 and there is still no tenant in that unit. I previously asked to speak with her boss, but according to her she’s the boss of all of Rentifi and there is no one else to speak to. I constantly had to reach out to Dezarae , who actually provided me some helpful information on the move out process. The day I had to turn in my key (Friday, June 30), I was having issues due to already living across the state. I was having a hard time turning in the key by 11:59 PM, so I asked if I could turn it in by 10 AM the next morning. I guess this was SO against the rules and I could NOT do that. So I had to bend over backwards once again to satisfy them. One of these issues was due to an address discrepancy at the time when you look up Rentifi through Apple Maps (I believe it is fixed now, it used to be showing on New Brittany Blvd). I explained to the office that the maps led me to the wrong address and I was running out of time that day, but that did not matter. Why would turning it in 10 hours later matter? When the office is closed from Saturday, July 1 throughout the whole next week up to Friday, July 7? Does that really make a difference when no one is even there to get the key? I called 3 weeks after moving out and received no call back. It took 37 days and no contact to receive my security deposit claim form and/or check. The claim form should have been mailed out within 30 days. I asked Danika for the tracking number on the certified mail but to no surprise, she did not keep record of a tracking number. I believe when sending a check or any important piece of mail. it is crucial to save this information, especially being the property manager. Danika tells me she has been a property manager for I think 11 or 13 years? But she does a terrible job at helping the tenants. Just because you have done a job a long time does not mean that you are doing good at it. Lack of customer service skills, organization, empathy, and communication are all things that might need some improvement. Customer service has gone terribly down when the company transferred over to Rentifi. The only people that actually helped me out of the kindness of their own heart and professionalism are previous employees- Daniel and Stephanie. I want to also point out that the owner has given me absolutely no problems. I would recommend making sure she is NOT your property manager or just avoiding Rentifi by all means if you don’t want to have these same issues while moving out. June 2023: Please bring Daniel B back as a property manager, ever since rentifi switched over from whatever company it used to be, I have had nothing but communication issues. Maintenance takes weeks to get out, no calls back, I call in the middle of the week and it says “outside business hours”, no one answers the phone, etc. As a tenant for over 3 years, it would be great to quickly get a hold of someone. He was the most attentive, informed, and helpful property manager I could ask for. And the only reason I added an extra star is because of Daniel."
"My husband and I were looking for a new property management company but couldn't find a company to match the perks that our current one had, but with much better service and communication. After I had given up hope, Alex Garcia swooped in like a fairy Godmother! She was so kind and flexible and offered us EVERYTHING we were looking for with AMAZING service! Her great communication and patience is unmatched! We wouldn't have switched over to Rentifi if it wasn't for her! I highly recommend! Thank you so much Alex! You deserve a raise or bonus!!!"
"Alex Garcia was very professional and attentive. She answered all my questions in a timely manner and was always polite. I will update this review in the future to include an overall impression of the services provided by Rentifi and the broker assigned to my property."
