"Fort de soto dog park is amazing! We went at sunset so it was a little chilly but our pups met some other dogs and had a blast playing in the sand & water! We packed some pub subs and drinks to make a full evening of it but pubsub beware because the pups were VERY interested in- ha! Beach is very well maintained and clean. Will definitely go back!"
"Nice stretch of sandy Beach to relax and play on, fenced in dog park adjacent with water for dogs. Easy walk from parking lot, $5 bargain parking paid once covers all parking areas in park. Dogs and their humans all enjoyed the outing."
"This fishing spot is absolutely fantastic! It's relatively new, but it's already gaining popularity. You have to check it out! Bring your friends and family along, because I guarantee they will love it too. And don't forget to bring your four-legged friend as well. This place is perfect for a fun and exciting day of fishing. You won't be disappointed!"
"Not a bad little beach for the dog to play. Beware not all dog owners control their dogs like they think they can. We'll have a lot of dogs wandering up to you out of their owners control, but the same can be said about kids. Would be nice if you could walk your dog on a leash and other areas. As in most places in Florida that like kids do whatever the hell they want but they're worried to death about dogs, can't figure this one out. But overall a very nice area"
"Fabulous spot for pups of all sizes. Hose and water fountain in the park. Excellent beach area. If your pup doesn’t like other pups or has behavioral issues, this isn’t the spot for you as it’s crowded. There were a couple of families who tried to be off by themselves because their dog didn’t like others but when you can be off leash that is difficult for everyone. There were a couple of other dogs who nipped at mine/showed aggression…they should have been left at home."
