Jupiter Bay Vacation Properties

"Bella Vista CFC is in Serious need of some quality control when it comes to their "security" staff. My family stayed here in 2016 and had a Very different experience. A far better, safer, more peaceful experience. I am a native Florida resident and Jupiter, FL was my childhood home. My entire family came down to vacation together, and we chose Bella Vista as it was a great stay 7 years ago. We were a squad of 12, in two separate condo units. We were approached on our 1st full day's stay by a rude security shack attendant regarding a paper parking pass we didn't know we needed, as there was no attendant the day prior. He approached with his pants undone, shirttail hanging in the wind, his zipper down, and with a rude/aggressive demeanor. He ordered us to pull over, fill out a paper, and read what was signed later, and ordered my husband in the vehicle behind me to "get back in your car" for asking what was going on. My brother and his family had an identical experience when they drove by the guard shack as well, and met with the same aggression. Then the next day, at the pool (which this attendant surveils from the guard shack), an elderly gentleman fell (it was significant) and no one came to check on him. The following day, my son and I (my husband and daughter waited in the car for us as it was sprinkling rain) stopped by the pool to take a quick dip before heading back to our VRBO condo, and we made the extremely offensive mistake of jumping (Not diving) in the swimming pool (had no idea this was such a no no-- it was Not posted on the rules sign at the actual pool). In less than 2 minutes the guard busted through the pool gate and was Yelling at us to get out of the pool. He yelled and yelled while we got out of the pool as demanded and asked me my unit number. I replied "I think it's 680" as I was flustered and a bit panicked with this bombardment. My hesitation led to this guard accusing me of trying to withhold my unit number from him as he kept yelling he had to fill out a report. He seemed determined to offer punitive threats, while we were doing as asked. I felt unsafe and felt protective of my son (who was also scared). I asked my husband to come in to help me de-escalate as I wasn't being heard. I was never asked if I was aware that jumping in the pool was against the rules. I was just yelled at and orders barked at my son and I. He then begged my husband to hit him. The altercation was disrespectful,  unprofessional, and harassing. The approach and tone unstable & disgusting really. Our VRBO had no wifi and then poor wifi when we discovered the router was not plugged in. The a/c struggled for the entire first day & night of our stay to cool the unit (which housed my medically fragile 86-year-old grandfather), the washer and dryer are old and take two dryer cycles to dry anything, and these units are aged and have had superficial upgrades. Far more pricey than they are worth to be honest. Especially given the vibe of the condo neighborhood. They (guard staff & neighbors) aren't welcoming to visitors, so why VRBO these? We will Never return to this property. There have been recent prior complaints to the owner of the property about the guard's behavior. These warnings are blown off: "oh the Poor guy has been there forever and is less than bubbly". Does time and practice not make one better at a position and not worse? And when reported the guard was "a jerk to my daughter for jumping in the swimming pool"...sounds familiar...the owner states "never had an issue with normal use". If someone brings someone's crud behavior to your attention, please listen. No one wins discounting the mistreatment of others. So know that the property owner doesn't care about your experience. An expensive venture, to be disregarded. Sharing to warn others interested...Beware. There is No warning about the militancy here. So here it is. Stay in Tequesta or Palm Beach Gardens Abacoa area...it's worth the cost, updated, and should go off without the trauma of the angry guard shack attendant."

"A FIVE STAR slice of heaven in Jupiter! This is a must stay. This condo is even better then the photos and has everything you could possibly need plus more. It is FULLY equipped, tastfully decorated, immaculate, comfortable and clean. Proximity is excellent and so much is walkable/bikeable from the beautiful beach, excellent restaurants, food store, on-site heated pools & tiki bar, river walkway, shopping. Jupiter Bay is so tranquil and there's is even two restaurants at the main front entrance that we have enjoyed multiple times. The two outdoor decks are a paradise bonus! Ken and Gen are the best hosts we have ever dealt with for a vacation rental. They take pride in their property and it truly shows. Ken even checked on us throughout our stay. Pack your bags and stay here. You won't be disappointed and we can't wait to return. -The Scherer Family / North Carolina"
