Reviews of Knights Landing
"I believe 90% person choose KL beacuse it's cheap, you can fit three person with only $1200 a month which is really student-friendly. I admitt it has its issues, old building, no gym, no pool, etc. However, for a poor international student thoese factors are not that important. I lived in KL for more than 2 years with my friend during my PhD, we had issues with noise, old building, etc. But overall, I give it 4 stars since you just cant beat the price. I really miss my days in KL after I left Orlando."
"Knights Landing is a perfect example of a hidden gem. This apartment complex may appear a tad outdated but there are so many things that make this place the best option around UCF. This apartment complex is very small with a lot of families so it feels more like a close knit community than a college apartment complex. It has a shuttle to campus for those attending classes and wait for it... private (very nicely sized) backyards!!! The leasing manager Mayra is also fantastic at her job. She is very quick to respond to phone calls and emails and genuinely cares for her tenants. Maintenance is also very good and you can often see problems getting resolved the same day or the next day. Long story short, this place is great. Great price, location, people, and much more."
"I've lived here since I started at UCF at the beginning of 2016. My first roommate and I searched for what felt like forever until we found this gem. It's barely a mile away from UCF and during the week there's a Shuttle that takes you to campus. Certainly the place is a bit on the older side, but the common area and even the rooms were more spacious than the UCF affiliated housing we looked at. If you're on a budget and you don't need OR even use those luxuries like a gym or pool this is a good option. It's a safe neighborhood with students and some families with kids in the mix. There have been times when things have broken, but that's a consequence of living anywhere! The staff at Knights Landing always takes care of us. You just need to call if it's an emergency or submit a service request through the online portal if it's something that can be handled the next day. I can't forget to mention Mayra the property manager! She's the sweetest person I've met, she always seems energetic and genuinely concerned about how we're doing and if there's anything she can do for us. She always replies to my emails quickly, and willing to work with you to help you with any issues you might have."
"Spacious units with an exceptionally low price-tag. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The units themselves are somewhat poorly cared for between tenants, but the staff immediately swooped in to take care of the problems and spoke with the companies that handle the maintenance to get them to do a better job. The units are, again, older, so soundproofing is rather poor. You can pretty much hear any sounds from the above apartments while in the living room (the largest of the rooms). There is plenty of parking spaces and there is a UCF shuttle stop on both roads. Absolutely worth it for the low price."
"I lived here 3 separate years in different units during undergrad and had a very positive experience each time. Mayra is a terrific property manager and is the main reason that I kept coming back. She is very friendly, organized, and professional. These are older apartments so beware that in first-floor units you will hear the people walking above you. We also had pest issues in all 3 units (ants in 2 and roaches in 1). Mayra and pest control always did their best with this issue, and it was also easily fixed with liquid bait. Maintenance staff were always prompt and respectful. The area is relatively safe and I never had issues with neighbors. Tons of parking and the UCF shuttle has 2 stops there. Overall a great place to live if you want to be very close to campus and have a lot of square footage without breaking the bank."
