"Called them up. Let them know I’m self employed. Have been for less than a year. Was turned down. Offered to show my bank statements as well as pay for the whole lease term up front (more than $10,000). Was denied. Hey, it’s their business they can run it as they please. Not mad at them. I’ll take my $10,000 elsewhere to a landlord that understands the ol’ saying that a bird in the hand is worth more than two in a bush!"
"I recently completed a year-long lease at this apartment, and my overall experience was far from satisfactory. Throughout the 12 months, the service provided was consistently subpar. Communication with the management was challenging, and the responsiveness to maintenance requests was slow, if not entirely absent. The major letdown, however, occurred at the end of the lease. Despite leaving the apartment in pristine condition, we were surprised to find attempts to charge us additional fees for alleged damages. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned, and it's disheartening to see a disregard for honesty in handling the security deposit, which was supposed to be refundable. The constant presence of roaches is unbearable, and despite our complaints, the management shows no concern. When we requested assistance with pest control, they ignored us. It's disheartening to live in a place where basic issues are disregarded by those responsible. I believe in transparency and fair business practices, and unfortunately, my experience with this apartment complex fell short of those expectations."
"Since August, I have been residing at Cornerstone Apartments, and December proved to be an especially challenging month for me. The staff, particularly Jesenia, the community manager, has been nothing short of a blessing during this difficult time. Their immense support and helpfulness have been invaluable. Their prompt attention to my concerns and sincere empathy have been nothing but a blessing during this trying period. The courteous and kind personnel at Cornerstone Apartments have made a significant difference. They offer a community that truly cares about more than just providing a place to live. Thankful for their generosity, I can state with certainty that Cornerstone Apartments is a unique place, and I wouldn't recommend anywhere else but here to live!"
"Very unpleasant experience, lack of communication with office, move out charges were applied after move out (when I ask for someone to follow me back to apartment during move-out to do the check out list) because I wanted to protect myself from charges, mold: which took a week before someone made an effort to check it out, and once maintenance came they cut open the walls and left it open for days, our shower curtain was destroyed, contractors were washing hands in the kitchen sink where dishes were and they put bathroom products(toilet cleaner/plunger on kitchen counter), etc. Rough experience from the beginning. I DO NOT recommend, you will regret."
"If I could give this place zero stars I would…my girlfriend and I moved in at the end of January and have regretted our decision to move here almost from day 1. What started out as a decent lake view has now turned into a view of a dirty half drained pond. The night we moved in we noticed that there was someone’s hair painted into the walls, our toilet was always running, pieces of our shower rod were detached from the wall and left hanging, a piece of the mirror was left in the bathroom linen closet, inside of our toilet tank looks rusted and moldy, several stains on the carpet, no central lighting in the living room or bedroom, the windows do not close or open fully, blinds to not fit the windows properly, one of the wall outlets in the kitchen was unscrewed from the wall and left dangling, and the biggest complaint of them all, our door is significant smaller than our door frame which causes a lot of issues. For example, the first night we could not get into our apartment because the door was stuck, and we had to have our friend practically bust down the door to get in, anytime it rains water leaked into our apartment, our door doesn’t always close and lock properly and sometimes won’t open at all. Maintenance has done nothing to actually fix anything despite our numerous attempts to get them to fix things. We used to think the one great quality this apartment had were the views and walking paths. Over time the once nice lake in front of our apartment has become a dirty trash filled pond. It’s become a great concern of ours that the lake is in such a state because there are a lot of animals that live on property and thrive because of the lake (ducks,turtles,fish,etc.). When I put in a maintenance request about the issue I was told something needed to be fixed and they would be doing so shortly. It has been almost a month now and nothing has been done to fix nor clean up the lake. There are children that throw their toys and often times are knee deep in the water creating more of a distress to the animals and the complex does nothing. I could write a novel but I’m short do not trust the 5 star reviews coming from people who have only toured the apartments the building keeps maintained for that exact purpose. Living here is atrocious for the amount you’re paying for rent and for using the on-site laundry (that costs about $60 a month for my girlfriend and I to do our laundry). This place is nowhere near worth the price or the hassle. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THE CORNERSTONE!"
